Wow! The single life certainly agrees with Katie Holmes.
Tom Cruise's ex-wife sheds her clothes in a series of sexy shots for a new IRIS jewelry ad campaign. In one photo, Holmes strips down to nothing but necklace, posing topless with a strategically placed arm. In other pictures, the mother of one looks equally sexy rocking a bikini in the beachy photo shoot.
Ever since filing for divorce from Cruise over a year ago, Holmes, 34, has appeared happier than ever.
Thursday night, Suri's mom stepped out for The New York Observer's 25th Anniversary Party at the Four Seasons Restaurant in Manhattan. Sporting a black mesh dress, Holmes looked gorgeous as she hung out with Katie Couric and Spike Lee.
"Katie seems really happy," her friend, director Adam Shankman, told Us Weekly of the star's single status. "You just fight through all the noise. And it's noisy!"

Kardashian Khroma Beauty Launch Halted as Lawsuit Rages On

The Kardashian sisters were ready to release their Khroma Beauty line this month, but a new lawsuit that slams the sisters for their unoriginality has brought the brand’s progress to a screeching halt.
The Kardashian sisters have been accused of being extremely unoriginal for quite some time. Many fashion blogs have bashed the sisters’ clothing line for being eerily similar copies of other major designers. There wasn’t a hand bag or fitted dress in the collection that didn’t look like it had been ripped off another designer’s runway.
Now, even their cosmetics line is being called into question because it seems like Kim ripped the name off from another woman in the beauty industry.
A Florida based company called Kroma Makeup is suing the Kardashians’ licensing partner for “stealing” the company’s name.
That’s right. It looks like Kimmy saw the name and just added an “h” to it and figured that was creative enough to avoid any legal troubles – well apparently she thought wrong.
The owner of Kroma Makeup is seeking more than $6 million from the reality clan and the company that produced the line, Boldface.
While the girls have usually been able to rely on their star power to get them out of trouble in the past, it seems like the judge in this case is already taking sides with Lee Tillett, the founder of Kroma Makeup.
“Tillett has demonstrated that [she] will likely lose business opportunities, customers and goodwill due to Boldface’s use of the confusingly similar Khroma Beauty marks,” U.S District Judge Audrey B. Collins said according to Law360. “The court has little doubt that, in short order, the Khroma Beauty products will likely eliminate Tillett’s business entirely, creating irreparable harm sufficient to justify an injunction.”
To make matters worse, Tillett gave the girls an opportunity to change the name of their beauty line but the hard headed trio didn’t see any need to think of something more creative and original.
It was back in July of 2012 that Tillett brought up the matter and pointed out that the beauty line was stealing the name she had already developed and trademarked on her own.
“I developed the Kroma line myself, built my business through my own hard work, and took the legal steps necessary to protect it,” Tillett told the Orlando Sentinel. “And yet I have now been forced into legal battle with the Kardashians simply because they have decided to take something that doesn’t belong to them.”
Her attorney Elliot Gipson also pointed out that Kim may have possible had knowledge of the name prior to using it for her own collection, which would eliminate the possibility that the similar names were just a coincidence.
Apparently Gipson had worked closely with TLK Fusion, who allegedly acted as the product placement agent for the Kardashians, about having Kroma placed in Keeping up with the Kardashians.
“On or about May 2010, representatives for Tillett and TLK Fusion were engaged in discussions regarding the possible product placement of the KROMA cosmetics line on the television reality show special The SPINdustry that was scheduled to air on E! Entertainment television following an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” he explained.
While no agreement was ever reached this would be enough to prove that Kim did know about the name Kroma and decided to steal the idea from Miss. Tillett.
If you ask us, this is just another case of Donkey Booty vs. Stallion Booty… except this time the idea that’s being copied is actually a good one.

Kim Zolciak Sued by Kandi Burruss for ‘Tardy for the Party’

Fighting over stupid ideas is apparently a thing for The Real Housewives of Atlanta now. Kandi Burruss is suing former cast member Kim Zolciak for profits from her 2009 single “Tardy for the Party” which Kandi co-wrote.
Kandi called on the help of her current cast member Phaedra Parks to sue Mrs. Zolciak for her share of royalties from her single.
To be honest, the song didn’t perform all that well compared to other hits. “Tardy for the Party” reached 102,000 copies/downloads, a number that most major hits reach on the first day of sales alone.
Either way, Kandi still wants credit where it’s due.
She filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in a U.S District Court in Georgia and has ordered the “Tardy for the Party” songstress to provide all “substantial profits and ill-gotten gains” from the single.
She isn’t the only one demanding some cash either.
Another songwriter, Rodney Richard, is joining forces with Kandi for the lawsuit because he allegedly also co-wrote the gimmicky song.
While the ladies are awaiting their day in court over the issue, Burruss and Richard are urging the courts to issue a cease and desist so Kim can’t make any more profits off of what they claim is partly their song.
While Kandi, Phaedra, and Rodney all claim to be very serious about the lawsuit, there’s just something about a legal representative having a “Donkey Booty” video that doesn’t really intimidate Kim at all. In fact, the reality star is confident that this will be yet another failed attempt by Kandi to try to snag a few bucks out of Kim’s pockets.
“Kandi tried to pull the song down in Dec on iTunes but after I showed documents and proved points song was immediately put back up,” Kim tweeted.
Before that she even brought up a good point as to why the new lawsuit seems ridiculous a bit suspicious.
“If I owed her money why did she do another song,” she tweeted. The singer-songwriter wrote another song for the wannabe songstress titled “The Ring Didn’t Mean a Thing.” If Kim was truly that much in debt to her why even go into another business venture with her? We’re sure the courts are going to be asking the same question.
On top of that why wait until now to file a lawsuit (again) when things obviously didn’t go her way the first time? We actually think we have the answer to this one.
Throughout the new season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, if you weren’t Phaedra, Nene Leakes, or Kenya Moore you were just irrelevant – yea we said it.
These three ladies dominated the drama world and were the sole reason that many people continued to tune in every week. With the reunion special coming up, it seems like Kandi just wanted some of her own drama to bring to the table so host Andy Cohen would have a reason to acknowledge her existence.
Let’s face it, she could have easily waited until after the reunion taping to file the lawsuit – she had already waited six years what would one more day do?
She even took to Twitter to hype up her own drama for the reunion.
“Well, we’re shooting the #RHOA reunion on weds,” Kandi tweeted. “Im NOT looking 4ward 2 it. I can already c its gonna b DRAMA. Arguing makes my stomach turn.”
We would like to point out that many of the shows fans were tweeting about the upcoming reunion special, but none of them seemed to mention Kandi’s right with Kim over the corny jingle. In other words, the fans really don’t care.
You’ll have to tune into the reunion special to see if Andy actually finds a way to bring up her little spat and just how short her moment of relevancy is. We’re betting that it won’t be much longer than a good 20 seconds.

Nia Long, Morris Chestnut Spill More Details on Best Man Sequel

More cast members from the first Best Man movie are finally spilling some details about the Best Man sequel. Nia Long dished on what she knew during her interview with JET before she rocked the cover to flaunt her age defying beauty.
The ever so gorgeous Nia Long revealed just how the cast found out about the Best Man sequel over dinner.
“We made magic together – so many people say that to me,” she said in her interview with JET. “And because I love the cast. The film’s director, Malcolm Lee, has been talking about it for some time and finally announced his plan during a recent cast reunion dinner.”
As for the actual movie, on the other hand, Long doesn’t know much because they still haven’t even started filming yet.
“We’re not shooting until late April in Toronto so I can’t say much, but everybody is really excited to revisit our stories and find out what happens next,” she added. “Where is Jordan now? Did she get married? Did she break up a relationship? It’s like reading a great book; you want to see what the next chapter is.”
Morris Chestnut also opened up about the sequel during his interview with the Huffington Post.
“Yeah, that’s pretty accurate,” he said in response to Terrence Howard saying he gets teary-eyed thinking about the Best Man sequel. “It’s going to be a movie to where I think people are going to experience the whole gamut of emotions. I think they’re going to laugh, and I think they’re going to cry. There’s a lot of stuff going on in this movie.”
Chestnut then took the time to explain that despite the overwhelming emotions throughout the film it will still be a fun experience for movie goers.
“It’s a fun movie, don’t get me wrong,” he continued. “But there’s a lot of heartwarming moments, some realizations with some characters. There’s a lot in this movie.”
Another exciting aspect of the film is simply seeing Nia Long on camera looking as if not even a year passed since she filmed the first one.
While she unfortunately didn’t dish on her beauty secrets, she did talk about how acting was a leap of faith for her considering there isn’t any real job security in the acting world.
“Actors only have job security from the time we’re on set until they say cut,” she explained to JET. “But, deep down inside I knew it would work out for me. Luckily, I was also naïve. What’s the saying? Ignorance is bliss. I had a wonderful acting coach who didn’t focus on failure, only working.”
The Hollywood life of being a successful actress is certainly a long way from her first dream job as a pediatrician.
“I wanted to be a pediatrician,” she admitted. “One of the most life-changing challenges I experienced growing up was realizing that there simply wasn’t enough money for me to go to college. So I decided to focus on working.”
She went on to reveal her own heartwarming story about how she had one goal in mind for herself – use an acting career to help her mother financially.
“I was acting since I was 15, and I really wanted to help my mom, who was struggling,” Long said.
Well she certainly turned her dreams into reality and the deal only got sweeter when she found the man of her dreams to share it all with.
Although she and former Nigerian basketball star Ima Udoka are often hundreds of miles apart, she still manages to make the relationship work out just fine.
“Ime and I are very much a family,” she said. “We’re both committed to being good to each other and being great parents. He operates on faith, and we share that.”
She then explained that without that faith, the relationship would be impossible to maintain since he is coaching out in San Antonio. While most couples fear long distance relationships because they can’t keep tabs on their partner, Long just hates not being able to have her husband there after a long day of work.
“The challenge is the times when I’m exhausted and here with the kids by myself,” she explained. “I have homework, bath time, dinner, laundry and all the other things that every mother has to do because, in essence, I’m physically a part-time single mom.”
Well despite the challenges of being so far away, the couple remains extremely happy together and Long doesn’t see that changing any time soon.

Nicki Minaj in Trouble with American Idol Producers, Fellow Judges over Tardiness

Nicki Minaj certainly caused a stir this week on American Idol, when she was missing at showtime then appeared 13 minutes into the broadcast. Now, reports are starting to emerge from the show that producers are fuming over Minaj’s lateness.
Wednesday was a particularly important night for the series, as the first live show of the season and first live show for the new judges.
The broadcast opened awkwardly, with Minaj missing from the judges’ table. Mariah Carey sat giving a rather scathing stare, while Randy Jackson and Keith Urban remained quiet. Host Ryan Seacrest tried to break the tension. “Which one of you gave Nicki the wrong directions today? Which one of you drained the fuel from her car?” he said, subtlety alluding to all the hoopla about a beef with Carey, who still did not look pleased.
“Mariah was just annoyed, she’s really over (Nicki.) They were all just embarrassed that it happened,” a source told Fox. The source continued that off camera  “Ryan was the angriest and Nigel (Lythgoe, executive producer) was mad too. Nicki knew better.”
It does seem odd Nicki would be that late. Typically,  a hair and makeup call would he hours before the broadcast started, especially with this being Minaj’s first live Idol show and her generally elaborate look.  So, Nicki likely was late by a few hours in the grand scheme of things.  An accident on the 405 would have to be pretty catastrophic to cause a delay of that caliber.
Nicki has been the wildcard this entire season, getting up and storming out a few times during the auditions when she disagreed with another judge. At times, her “fight” with Carey has seem forced and feigned, with Nicki frequently being portrayed as over dramatic.

Wednesday’s tardiness was just another hurdle for producers in dealing with Minaj. A rep for FOX maintains  “Ryan addressed it at the top of the show” and that there would be no further  comment.
Nicki’s rep declined to comment entirely.

Gabrielle Union to Dwyane Wade’s Ex: Stop Blaming Me

Just days after Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches-Wade appeared on Dr. Phil to publicly take digs at him, Wade’s actress girlfriend Gabrielle Union fired back. Sort of. She took to Twitter to launch a series of sub-tweets that may or may not be aimed at the one-time Mrs. Wade. The ‘Think Like A Man’ Actress has chosen to remain mum (mostly) on the origins of her and D-Wade’s relationship. Since the Miami Heat star was not yet divorced when he and Ms. Union were rumored to have begun dating, Gabby was vilified in the court of public opinion.
Union tweeted, “We can be our own biggest problem or we can be our own best solution. Change starts & stops with you,” and “Stop blaming every1 & everything if ur life isn’t where u want it to be. Admit ur mistakes & shortcomings & commit to change.”  While she might not be talking about the former Mrs. Wade, it’s good advice to her nonetheless.
After a long and bitter court battle, Dwyane was awarded custody of his two sons. Since then, Siohvaughn has taken to blasting her ex any chance she can get. On the Dr. Phil show earlier this week, she accused her ex husband of striking one of their sons, causing him to bruise as a result. She said that her ex’s celebrity went a long way toward the decision to strip her of her custodial rights. In an interview with Daily Mail online, she had a lot to say about how celebrity changed the man she once loved.
“This was my very best friend and I couldn’t reach him anymore – without question it was because of the money,” and, “I think Dwyane had been rejected a lot when he was younger and then suddenly people started cheering and clapping and wanting to be around him. I think he overindulged in that. It was disgusting to me.”
For her part, Union opened up to Jet magazine last April about her and Dwyane and why she never defended herself against allegations of being a home-wrecker. “For the people that hire me, it’s a non issue.  But at the end of the day, Dwyane’s kids are going to be the ones who really suffer.  They’re 10 and 4 and a half.  They’re old enough to understand the mean things that strangers can say.”

She added, “I fought it (the lawsuit Siohvaughn filed against her claiming she was a home-wrecker and detrimental to Wade’s kids).  My life is just too easy to track.  So, we were submitting plenty of proof for the times she said I was in Miami.  So, it was like, obviously you’re not telling the truth. And then the courts dismissed the case.”
The more this saga unfolds in the media, the more the kids lose. It seems as though neither parent is interested in building a cordial relationship for the sake of the kids. The former Mrs. Wade is pining for Dwyane although it’s clear he’s moved on. However much that hurts, her best bet is to get into therapy, begin healing herself and work toward having more of a steady relationship with her kids, free and clear from animosity toward their father. Whether or not Gabrielle Union was a home-wrecker is irrelevant at this point. The kids are the most important factor in this drama. Hopefully, the adults will put their issues to the side and really come together for the sake of the boys.

Lil Wayne Hospitalized Again, Chris Rock and Chappelle Team Up?

Lil Wayne has suffered from yet another seizure on Tuesday and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital.
The tattoo covered rapper was filming a music video in L.A. when he suddenly began seizing.
According to TMZ, the 30-year-old rapper actually suffered from multiple seizures that day which is especially troubling news because the seizures have been reoccurring since October of last year.
On Oct. 25 the “No Worries” rapper was on board his private plate when he suddenly began seizing. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing to treat him for the seizure.
This attack, which was relatively minor compared to the others, was caused by severe dehydration and a migraine.
“Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration,” his rep said at the time. “He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.”
His rep claimed the rap star was resting, but apparently Lil Wayne wasn’t really taking the doctor’s orders seriously. The next day, Oct. 26, he hopped on board another flight and suffered from a seizure once again.
His doctors ordered him to drink at least four bottles of water every day and they finally put him on a medication for the seizures.
While his fans may be worrying about him, YMCBM’s leading lady isn’t worried a bit.
“Everybody that’s around him is taking care of him,” Nicki Minaj said. “Wayne has so many people around him that truly, genuinely love him. I’m not worried at all. Even him being on the plane, thank God that there was somebody there right away that was able to help him. I’m just thankful that he was OK.”
The hip hop Barbie and Wayne met up recently on Tuesday to shoot the music video for her single “High School” that will appear on her “Re-Up” album.
Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock Joke Sparks Tour Collab Rumors 
Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock may have been joking about teaming up for a comedy tour together, but the joke is being taken quite seriously – and not just by the fans.
Chappelle certainly has been out of the media spotlight since the Chappelle Show left Comedy Central back in 2005, but he might be making quite the comeback.
It was all fun and games in New York when Chappelle, Rock, Kevin Hart, Marlon Wayans, and even Paul Mooney gathered together on stage at The Cellar comedy club.
The group of funny men certainly had the crowd in tears, but one joke had the cellar full of fans hopefully that there was something serious about what the comedians were saying on stage.
“After next Tuesday, I’m free for like 11 years,” Dave said on stage.
Quickly, Chris responded by saying, “By Halloween, I could do dates.”
The two men went back and forth discussing their availability and joking that they should team up for a comedy tour.
The rumors were intensified when both of the comedians sent text messages to Jay-Z and Arsenio Hall. Chappelle wrote, “This could be the show. Fireside chats with Chris Rock.”
Rock’s response was short, sweet and to the point as he wrote, “I’m in.”
While neither of their publicists are releasing any statements on how much of the partnership is true or just a joke, fans are remaining hopefully that both of comedy’s forerunners will be sharing the stage again for them soon.
