Miley Cyrus was photographed heading to a recording studio in Los Angeles on Wednesday night and one piece of jewelry was noticeably absent: her engagement ring. This comes on the heels of reports that she and fiancé Liam Hemsworth, 23, called off their wedding.
While the 20-year-old was photographed wearing a diamond ring, it is not the same sparkler with which her "Hunger Games" beau proposed. Cyrus was last photographed wearing her engagement ring running errands in L.A. on March 1.
Four magazines reported this week that Hemsworth and Cyrus were heading to splitsville amid allegations that Hemsworth recently got flirty (and then some) with both January Jones and Emma Watson.
“Liam and Miley are done,” Us Weekly reported. “Miley put her career on hold to spend all her time with Liam. Now that she is back recording her fourth album, he's not happy. She says she's already over it."
Meanwhile, People reports the wedding is still on.
"Miley and Liam have had some problems that they are working through," a source tells the magazine. "Miley doesn't think it's a big deal. She loves Liam and can't wait to marry him."
Cyrus also took to Twitter on Wednesday denying the engagement was off:
"I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining"
Puzzling, since hours later the ring was off.
