Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (WireImage)Angelina Jolie's
double mastectomy announcement has inspired many to salute the A-lister
for her bravery and candidness in fighting her genetic predisposition
to cancer.
In terms of her health, Angelina is doing great and estimates that her chances of developing breast cancer have dropped "from 87 percent to under 5 percent."Thankfully, it won't be quite as busy a year ahead for the hard-working mom — Disney's "Maleficent" doesn't hit theaters until next summer and she's only in pre-production on her next directorial effort, "Unbroken." But there's something else that's been well reported as on her docket for this year: to marry longtime beau Brad Pitt.

Should a situation like this affect the scale of a wedding? On the one hand, you could be inspired to throw a larger celebration. Though some might want to scale back.
It shouldn't have to. It’s doesn’t have to change how you throw a wedding. You may not be up for so many guests, but there's nothing wrong with moving forward.
What about the wedding dress?
Being a very famous and very beautiful woman, I'm sure she's aware people will be curious about her dress. It's a personal decision for anyone woman who has had a mastectomy -- but this doesn’t have to be a reinvention of the wheel.

Angelina said that – as is the case of any woman going through a surgery like she did – her fiancé, Brad Pitt, was a crucial part of the process. How can that support translate to their wedding?
Grooms can certainly help. They can listen. If she's stressed, if she's tired. Most of all, they can help when a bride really wants an opinion, not a "yes" or "no" answer.
