This rumor has made the tabloid rounds before and the whisperings are back…
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been dating for a couple years now, but their relationship is supposedly on the rocks over their differing feelings on marriage, an insider told Star.
“Ryan’s friends know he is ready to settle down, 100 percent,” the source said. “Eva loves Ryan, but she’s very nontraditional when it comes to what she wants. She’s phobic about commitment. That’s the root of the problem.”
It’s true that Eva has expressed a wariness about marriage in prior interviews, telling Chelsea Handler on her talk show that she found the institution to be “a very old-fashioned, archaic kind of thing. We did it for land originally…how unromantic is that?”
Funnily enough, she then began dating Ryan shortly thereafter, and now we’ve come full circle with these sentiments coming back to bite her in the form of this tabloid report.
