Kerry Washington is pregnant, at least according to reports.
Washington has sparked pregnancy rumors since her secret and surprising wedding to NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha over the summer. Just a few months following the wedding, Washington had a string of red carpet appearances to promote the third season of her hit show “Scandal”. It didn’t take long before the media speculated that her outfit choices leaned towards a celebrity attempting to cover a baby bump.
According to sources, Washington is indeed pregnant with her first child.
“Kerry and Nnamdi are ecstatic,” the source says. “The baby is due in late spring.”
The source added that the 36-year-old’s upcoming appearance on ”Saturday Night Live” promoted the leak, “she didn’t want the focus to be on whether or not she has a bump.”
Not surprisingly, the fiercely private Washington has remained mum on the rumor and her reps added, “We do not comment on her personal life.”
