And on Tuesday, action heroes Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone appeared to be feeling every pound as they walked the red carpet rather stiffly at the premiere of their new movie, Escape Plan.
The former body builders, who are now both well into their sixties, looked like waxwork figures of themselves as they posed rather awkwardly side-by-side at the Regal E-Walk in New York City.

Two of a kind: Arnold Schwarzenegger (left) and
Sylvester Stallone looked like waxworks as they stiltedly hit the red
carpet for the premiere of their new film, Escape Plan, at New York's
Regal E-Walk on Tuesday night
The longtime friends wore complementary black outfits for their big night, with Arnie keeping it simple in a suit, white shirt and brown shoes while Sly went for rockstar chic in black jeans, a T-shirt, leather jacket and shoes.
Austrian-born Arnie sported greying facial hair and a luscious and obviously dyed dark brown mane that belied his 66 years.
He could certainly take a leaf out of his 67-year-old pal's book, however, as Sly seems to have embraced his age, with his salt and pepper hair on show for all to see.
The $70 million action-thriller sees Stallone play Ray Breslin, a structural security authority who spends his life getting himself into prisons to test and exploit their weaknesses.
Playing it straight: The 66-year-old donned a
simple black suit, white shirt and brown shoes, along with a greying
beard and obviously dyed dark brown hair, while his pal donned a more
rockstar jeans, T-shirt and leather jacket
Double-crossed, he finds himself incarcerated in the world's most secret and secure prison and must rely on help from the inside - in the form of Arnie's Emil Rottmayer - in order to make his jail break.
Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson also stars in the film and made a dapper appearance at the red carpet premiere.
The rapper smartened up a pair of blue pants with a white collared shirt and a snazzy navy blue blazer with satin lapel.
Person Of Interest's Jim Caviezel, who stars as prison guard Hobbes in the flick, rugged up as he helped promote his latest movie.

Jackson, who plays Hush, looked suave in his navy blue suit jacket,
which featured satin lapels, worn over a white collared shirt and blue
pants
Feeling the chill: Jim Caviezel popped the
collar of his warm black coat but donned a huge smile regardless of the
cold as he hit the red carpet to support his latest movie offering
The actor donned black jeans, shoes and a double-breasted jacket with the collar popped.
Female lead Amy Ryan added some much-needed femininity in her pretty tea-length gold strapless dress, which she paired with silver stilettos and a gunmetal clutch.
While their appearance on Tuesday was stilted to say the least, just a day earlier, Sly and Arnie were much more animated as they enjoyed a meal together at New York's Nello's restaurant.
Feminine prowess: Amy Ryan, who is the female
lead in the flick, looked pretty in her strapless gold tea-length dress,
which she teamed with silver stilettos and a gunmetal purse
They're still larrikins: The previous day, the
pair were much more animated as they grabbed lunch together at Nello's
in New York before hamming it up for the cameras
The larrikins donned near-matching brown leather jackets as they hammed it up for the cameras as they happily posed with their arms around each other.
Sly will reprise his role as Expendables leader Barney Ross in the film, while Arnie will once again play Trench Mauser in the group of mercenaries who include Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren.
Reunited on film once more: Stallone stars as
structural security authority Ray Breslin in the movie, who must rely on
the help of inmate Emil Rottmayer (Arnie) to break out of the world's
most secret and secure prison
