We gave you the sneak peeks of Rihanna's new March 2013 Rolling Stone magazine cover and spread.  Now, check out excerpts from her story where she defends her reunion with Chris Brown....and how she doesn't even allow her best friend to tell her anything about it.
So Rihanna's Rolling Stone cover story has lots of talk about her on again off again lover Chris Brown, of course.  And she says no one can tell her anything about it--not even her best friend Melissa--because Chris is....wait for it...."different now." 
.Now we all know true love is a hard thing to ignore, especially when you're both in your early 20's.  But it takes a certain level of maturity to know that love does not always equate a healthy relationship.  Yet, Rihanna says, "We now know where we stand."
"Stay" singer Rihanna is giving her take on people criticizing their reunion, why she feels it's different because they "talk about things now," and why she wanted Chris to know what it felt like to lose her.  Here are the excerpts, thanks to USA Today:

On even her best friend not being allowed to talk to her about Chris Brown: "I just felt like, why bother? Nobody else is going through it. Nobody would understand."
On being mad at Chris Brown for a really long time: "I wanted him to know what it felt like to lose me. To feel the consequences of that. So when that (stuff) came back it hit me like a ton of bricks. Like, God, you've got to be kidding right now. But I got real with myself, and I just couldn't bury the way I felt."
On knowing she would be opening herself up to criticism for reuniting with Chris Brown: "I decided it was more important for me to be happy, and I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that. Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.
On people being upset about her reunion with Chris Brown: "When you add up the pieces from the outside, it's not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it's different now. We don't have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about (stuff). We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don't want to lose that."
On the opinion that Chris Brown still hasn't changed, based on his behavior: "I know it comes off like that. And it doesn't help. For a long time he was really angry, and he felt like he couldn't get away from it, no matter what he did. But there's so many reasons why I ever reconsidered having him in my life. He's not the monster everybody thinks. He's a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He's giving and loving. And he's fun to be around. That's what I love about him – he always makes me laugh. All I want to do is laugh, really – and I do that with him."
On believing that Chris Brown has changed: "Of course everybody has their opinion about him, because of what he's done. That will always be there. But he made a mistake, and he's paid his dues. He's paid so much. And I know that's not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing."
On being the one to support Chris Brown: "Wait. You think I'm here to rehabilitate Chris? No, no, no. That is not my purpose. Trust me. I could have done that from the jump if I thought that was my job. My job was to take care of myself – and I did. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think Chris was ready."
On people being worried about her with Chris Brown: "I know. And trust me – it makes me feel great to know that people care. I guess it's just something that will show with time. There's nothing I could say that would convince you right now. But we're in a great place. And I can't ever see us going back."
On how much she will put up with from Chris Brown going forward: "Listen, I'll tell you right now: I don't have to take it. If he gives me that again, here's what I give him: nothing. I just walk away. He doesn't have that luxury of (expletive) up again. That's just not an option. I can't say that nothing else will go wrong. But I'm pretty solid in knowing that he's disgusted by that. And I wouldn't have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility."
On calling her album Unapologetic as an answer to everyone who thinks she should be a better role model: "I could never tell a 10-year-old to look at me, because I know I'm not perfect. That's not what I signed up for."
On reports that she'd fallen out with Katy Perry over Perry's decision to date John Mayer: "Katy Perry can date anyone she wants. Besides, who the (expletive) am I to say anything? I could never give relationship advice to anybody!"
On if she wants to have babies someday: "Hell, yeah. But I wish I could order them."

Of course, any adult can do whatever they want to in life.  But to hear victims of domestic violence still saying "...he's different now"....when we all know those types of relationship are unhealthy for BOTH involved...is a bit off-putting.  But do you boo. The pics are gorge.

BREAKING NEW GIGS: Alicia Keys Named Global Creative Director Of BLACKBERRY! + Jay-Z Signs Timbaland To Roc Nation!

Not only is she dropping hit after hit these days and performing at every big event possible, but Alicia Keys was just named as the Global Creative Director of Blackberry.

Plus, Timbaland just joined the Roc Nation family.  Pledge your allegiance inside....

Alicia and her husband Swizz Beatz love a "Creative Director" title don't they?  They have yet another one to add to their arson.
At today's Blackberry 10 launch event at Pier 36 in NYC (pictured above), RIM’s chief executive, Thorsten Heins, named the androgynous dressed "Girl On Fire" singer as the Blackberry phone company's Global Creative Director.  Likely a move to rev up publicity for the brand.


As for BB's newest roll out, the Z10, (that the company hopes will save it from going into oblivion thanks to the takeover of iPhones & Samsungs), it's fully touch-screen, lots of hi-tech capabilities like video in BB messenger, and more than 70,000 apps.  It's set for a March 2013 launch here in the states, and Feb. 10th in Canada.
According to Alicia's website, her new role is described as the following:

Timbaland's been producing for Jay-Z for the last 15 years....all the way back to the "*igga What, *igga Who" and "Big Pimpin" days.  So Hov has finally woo'd the superproducer over to his Roc Nation family....officially.
The BK rapper took to his own Life+Times website today to make the announcement with the above pic saying:

"Roc Nation welcomes TIMBALAND to the family."

Timbo also produced Justin Timberlake's new "Suit & Tie" track that Jay is featured on.  No word on if Timbo will simply be managed by Roc Nation or if he will be totally a part of the label.  But we're still wondering where Jay Electronica's and Willow Smith's albums are...

Selena Gomez ‘So Happy’ While Partying in West Hollywood

Selena Gomez and Ashley Benson (Startraks)Selena Gomez celebrated her Nylon Magazine cover with a party Tuesday night in West Hollywood. The newly single star had a private dinner at Soho House and her closest friends were in attendance (hint: Justin Bieber did not make the guest list).

“She was so happy,” a source at the party tells omg!. “It was a total girls night, and she was hanging out with her parents and close friends.”
Those friends at the Coach sponsored dinner included her “Spring Breakers” co-star Ashley Benson, plus famous pals Ashley Tisdale and Jaime King.
Yesterday was no doubt an eventful day overall for the actress. Ex-boyfriend Bieber, 18, dropped his “Believe Acoustic” album Tuesday and featured on was it the song “Nothing Like Us,” in which he confessed about his breakup with Gomez, 20.
Aside from one jab about Selena Gomez’s “drinking,” Bieber, 18, seemed incredibly sad on the ballad.
“There was no talk of Justin last night,” adds omg!’s source. “It was all about a girls night.”
Gomez even told E!’s Marc Malkin she is doing “really good” while remaining mum on details of her upcoming album.
"I'm having a lot of fun expressing everything that I'm feeling,” the “Love You Like a Love Song” singer said coyly. "I've been telling people I'm definitely a little bit more sassy now. I'm a little bit more mouthy."
Here’s hoping there is a response to “Nothing Like You” on that album. Who are we kidding?! — she’s besties with Taylor Swift! Gomez definitely has the upper hand going into this battle of the breakup songs.

Ashley Judd Splits From Husband Dario Franchitti

Actress Ashley Judd has split from her husband, race car driver Dario Franchitti.
The couple released a statement last night announcing the split.
“We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed,” said the couple to US Weekly.
Judd, 44,  and Franchitti, 39,  gave no reason for the split and have yet to file divorce papers.
However, the former couple remains adamant the split was amiable. Last night, Judd tweeted “Family forever. @dariofranchitti.”   Later, Franchitti responded “@ashleyjudd family forever.” The comment has since been removed from his Twitter.
The two were married for more than 12 years, tying the knot in 2001 after a two-year engagement. They had no children.
As a married couple, Judd and Franchitti took on wildly different pursuits. Franchitti, a native of Scotland, is a three-time Indianapolis 500 winner, who has continued to race around the world.
In recent years, Judd has stepped away from her acting career, which included films like High Crimes and Where the Heart Is.  Instead, she  increased her political involvement. Judd served as a delegate for Tennessee to the 2012 Democratic National Convention and campaigned for President Obama in 2008 and 2012.
It has been rumored Judd will run for the Senate in the next election, returning to Kentucky to do so, where she lived for many years.
So far, her rep remains mum on the subject. “Ashley has yet to decide about running for the United States Senate,” Judd spokeswoman Cara Tripicchio told Politico last month.“She is honored by the incredible encouragement from her fellow Kentuckians and the national interest, including Senator McConnell.”
In the meantime, Judd remains busy with several other humanitarian projects, working to increase AIDS awareness and lobbying for wilderness protection laws.

The British invasion continues. On the heels of acts like The Saturdays, Adele and One Direction, UK  singer  Emeli Sande is hitting America to promote  her  debut album, Our Version Of Events.
Sande, a native of Scotland, has had multi-platinum sales abroad. Our Version Of Events was the best selling LP in the UK last year, with over 1.3 million copies sold. Now, she is is trying to break into the U.S. market. “It’s a brand new challenge for me and I’m enjoying it,” she says.
After coming to America, Sande started her promo tour appropriately on The Today Show, performing “Next To Me” and “My Kind Of Love” which show off her soulful vocals.
When asked about her promo tour on Today , Sande admitted it felt like starting over again, in a good way.  ”For me it’s like two years ago in the UK.  You go to the shows and it’s just that real raw excitement at the beginning, when people have just found you as an artist.”
Sande definitely already has one fan in America–Alicia Keys. Sande collaborated with Keys on the latter’s recent single “Brand New Me” from Girl On Fire.
Keys is hot to join forces with Sande a second time. “I would love for us to write again,” Keys said to Capitalfm.com. “We have just a great chemistry, a great energy.”
“She’s a beautiful, incredible artist with a lot to say, I think,” Keys continues, predicting that Sande will enjoy great success in America. “And I think she’s going to really, really stand the test of time.”
Sande has also written for Rihanna, Leona Lewis and Cher Lloyd. She can also count on the support from a fellow Brit. Simon Cowell recently named her one of his “favorite songwriters of the moment,” a high compliment coming from the notoriously grouchy producer.
The singer will continue her press tour in New York today before making several performance stops around the country.

The photo, which was originally posted to the Justin Bieber fan page, has since been removed. However, the fan, Jocelynn, who goes by the Twitter handle @JocelynnBieber and describes herself as a 17-year-old from Florida , has now made the image her Twitter icon.
Joceyln has responded that Bieber did nothing inappropriate. Bieber responded on Twitter:

Chris Brown Gets a Cast After Frank Ocean Fight

Stepping out for the first time since his reported brawl with Frank Ocean, the 23-year-old was sporting a cast … on his punching hand. The “Nobody’s Perfect” singer was seen with his new accessory as he exited his Hollywood apartment building on Tuesday and hopped in the passenger seat of a waiting car.

Brown hasn’t spoken out directly about Sunday’s throw down with fellow R&B singer Ocean at the Westlake Recording Studio, but he is being investigated for assault, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Ocean also fingered him as the guilty party in the case, tweeting to his fans, “Got jumped by chris and a couple guys.”
If Brown’s hand injury occurred during the battle royale – which was over a parking spot, according to TMZ – it wasn’t the only injury sustained during the drama. Ocean also tweeted that he cut his finger during the melee and “can't play w two hands at the Grammys."

Brown didn’t mention anything about his hand injury on Monday when he posted a photo of artwork to Instagram depicting Jesus on the cross and wrote, "Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!"

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the Barbadian beauty boldly declares her love for Brown, who brutally attacked her nearly four years ago, and says she doesn’t care about public opinion when it comes to their relationship.
“I decided it was more important for me to be happy," Rihanna, 24, told the magazine. "I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that. Deion Sanders Daughter Shows Off in Bikini League

Deion Sanders is known for his athleticism and now his daughter is taking her shot in the sports world. Dieon’s daughter is in the Bikini League. What is the Bikini League, you ask? While the name suggests there are actual bikini’s involved, there are not. Instead, it’s a basketball league where the players run down the court in sports bras and gym shorts, instead of traditional basketball attire. However familiar he is with controversy, Deion Sanders is understandably upset that his daughter has chosen to join this league.
Deiondra, obviously named after her father, admitted that the former NFL star was not a happy camper at the news. “My dad was kind of upset, but that’s like any parent who just sees bikini league,” Deiondra said in a recent interview “He thought I was gonna be out there in a bikini. He [saw] a picture of our uniform and stuff like that, so I think once he saw that we’re actually covered up a little bit, he wasn’t as concerned.”
Deion’s daughter will be playing for the Atlanta Peaches, one of five teams in the league. Although the Bikini League sounds like a joke, Deiondra will be facing tough competition on the court. “When you hear bikini league you don’t think of people who can really play. All honesty, you just think of cute girls out there playing basketball,” she said. “When I actually went to practice and stuff, as I said before, it’s girls who played overseas, that’s played four years of college ball at Georgia Tech.”
Even some former WNBA stars have signed on to the league, ensuring that it will be more than just pretty girls running down the court in sports bras. As for Deiondra, her fitness game isn’t quite up to par and she acknowledges it. Of her friends and family, she say, “They’re just excited I’m in a gym, because I used to never work out or anything, so now that I’ve been working out everyday and actually getting fit, they’re so excited for me.”
Ultimately, the former Dallas Cowboys player’s daughter is looking to make a name for herself, as well as a positive impact (for who, she doesn’t say). “I like playing basketball so I’m enjoying doing it. But eventually I hope it does lead to making my name bigger as a person so I can actually have a voice- a positive voice.”

Miley Cyrus Married? Premature Rumor Surfaces After ‘Hubby’ Comment

Miley Cyrus Married? Nope, not yet. Cyrus called her fiance Liam Hemsworth hubby and it quickly turned into rumors of the handsome couple tying the knot.
The confusion began when Cyrus’ Cosmo cover interview was released. In one excerpt the former Disney actress stated,
“I’m happy I don’t have to date anyone,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I was like, ‘I’m so happy I’m married, because you guys are cruel!’ ”
In another she adds,

“I’ll literally look at him and be like “You are hot, dear god!” The other day, I turned on the pool heater and it was steaming, and he walked outside and took off his clothes and jumped in the pool. I was like, ‘I’m gonna faint–the hottest guy of my life is in a steaming pool. This looks like a Playgirl shoot.’ So I took a photo and made it the background on my phone. My best friend grabbed my phone and was like, “Who’s that? He is so hot!” That’s my hubby!,” she said.

Within the same interview Miley goes into great lengths about the kind of wedding she hopes to have, a private one.
“I feel the bigger the wedding, the more it becomes a target for people to ruin,” the soon-to-be wife explained. “So we just want it to be small, with people who we’d take bullets for.
Confusion warranted.
Luckily for readers Hemsworth’s reps didn’t linger on clearing up the rumors telling People magazine that the couple are “definitely NOT married.”

Super Bowl Adds Alicia Keys, Destiny’s Child to Beyonce’s Unpaid Gig

That latest updates for the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime show have revealed that Beyonce won’t be getting paid for the gig, Alicia Keys will be singing the national anthem, and Bey will supposedly be joined by her former group members from Destiny’s Child on stage despite Michelle Williams shooting the rumors down.
The closer we get to the Super Bowl the more people are finally letting go of Beyonce’s alleged lip syncing performance at Obama’s second inauguration. Now the talk of the town is about Beyonce’s elaborate performance that she won’t even be getting paid for.
While professionals, exports, and a select few others have always known about the Super Bowl Halftime show tradition, others are shocked to discover that Bey won’t be getting paid to take the stage at the Super Bowl.
As it turns out, the Super Bowl doesn’t actually pay the artists to perform at what is television’s most watched event. They simply help pay for production costs and if the artist exceeds the budget given to them, the rest of the money has to come out of their own pockets.
The “Dance for You” crooner’s budget was $600,000 but she is well on her way to exceeding the budget like most half time performers usually do.
“Beyonce will not get paid, but her backup singers, her musicians, all the extras – they will be paid by the NFL production budget,” said Marc Ganis, the president of the consultancy Sportscorp Ltd.
Gains revealed that Madonna, who headlined the half time show last year, also exceeded her budget after hiring Nicki Minaj, M.I.A, LMFAO, and Cee Lo Green to make appearances during her set.
While the artists are expected to cover all the remaining costs for production, it usually doesn’t come out of their own pockets.
In Queen Bey’s case, Pepsi will likely have a lot to do with paying the remaining costs of the performance.
Pepsi made a $50 million lucrative deal with the former Destiny’s Child member and thanks to the “creative content development fund” that was a part of the deal, they will likely be forking over the rest of the money for Bey’s big performance.
With most advertisers paying millions for a 30 second commercial slot during the Super Bowl, the popular soft drink company certainly won’t mind paying a few hundred thousand to have their latest face of Pepsi give an incredible performance for half time.
Pepsi will also have their own commercials playing during the Super Bowl as well, which will feature winning contestants from who submitted their best Beyonce inspired photos. Half of the 100 winners will also join Queen Bey on stage to introduce her.
No word out on how Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland will be introduced, but they will be taking the stage along side the “Countdown” songstress. They will be singing several of their classic hits before concluding their set with their new song “Nuclear.”
All together Mrs. Carter is expected to perform anywhere between four to eight songs during her set.
With the face off between the brother coaches of the Raves and the 49ers and news of the Destiny’s Child reunion, there was more than enough teasing going on about the Super Bowl, but Baddie Bey had to tease us a little more.
She took to Instagram once again to get her fans riled up about the performance as she dressed up in a sexy referee ensemble. She hugged a football tight to her body as she flaunted some sexy black high waisted shorts, a referee shirt, and some Kim Kardashian style thigh high leather boots.
So if Mrs. Carter is going to be busy getting ready to take the stage for half time who will be singing the national anthem? None other than the talented and gorgeous Alicia Keys.
Mrs. Keys shared her joy with MTV after she discovered she would be belting out the national anthem.
“Oh my goodness, I’m crazy excited about it,” Keys said. “Being able to do the national anthem and actually set the whole game off is a dream come true. It’s really exciting. It’s a historical moment, that day, so I’m looking forward to really doing it my style and my way, and I’m looking forward to really making it great.”
Keys will probably sing the anthem completely live thanks to the over reaction to Beyonce using a backing track, but she has proved time and time again that she can belt out flawless notes under any circumstances. Either way, we’re sure there will be a handful of people who will accuse even Alicia of lip syncing at the game.

The songstress opened up about the current state of her relationship with the R&B singer who famously beat her nearly four years ago. And, much to the horror of many, that status is that they’re totally together.
“I decided it was more important for me to be happy," she tells the new issue of Rolling Stone. "I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that. Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake.”

On the plus side, Rihanna also goes on to outline some of the major differences between her relationship now from what it was in 2009.
“It's different now. We don't have those types of arguments anymore,” she explains. “We talk about s***. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don't want to lose that."
Thankfully, the 24-year-old “Diamonds” singer promises that Brown won’t get another chance if he repeats his previous behavior.
"He doesn't have the luxury of f***ing up again," she says. "That's just not an option. I can't say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I'm pretty solid in the knowing that he's disgusted by that. And I wouldn't have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility."
Speaking of things going wrong, Brown, 23, is currently under investigation for assault following a scuffle with fellow artist Frank Ocean outside a recording studio on Sunday. Ocean reportedly now wants to press charges against Brown. Brown was photographed on Tuesday with his hand in a cast.
In the meantime, though, she wants you to forgive him.

Rick Ross has responded to the YouTube gang that is believed to be behind the drive by shooting that caused the rapper to crash his Rolls-Royce on Monday.
Rick Ross and his girlfriend were able to walk away from the shooting without any injuries, but recent reports are suggesting that Ross isn’t out of trouble yet.
According to MTV News a gang known as the Gangster Disciples has been posting several YouTube videos warning Ross that they were coming after him.
“We’re pulling up on you,” one of the gang members said in one of the videos. “Whatever city, whatever state, the pressure on.”
CNN has reported that the gang is after money that they believe the Ricky Rozay owes them after he used the Star of David as album art.
While most people would see the Star of David as a symbol of Judaism, the gang insists that the symbol was being used in reference to one of the Gangster Disciple founders and their music. The finished their warning by saying, “We need that cash right now.”
Ross’s response? He didn’t seem very intimidated by the YouTube videos and promised that “Ain’t never no checks getting cut. I don’t play those games.”
Turning the tables on the thugs he accused them of another crime other than just the shooting.
“I consider that extortion,” Ross concluded.
The short statement wasn’t all he had to say about the shooting either. The murder attempt inspired Ricky Rozay to get back in the studio as he made an unofficial remix to Kendrick Lamar’s “B***h, Don’t Kill My Vibe.” While the beginning of the song seems to be focused on the hardships of Ross’s childhood, including his supposed battle with dyslexia, the song eventually turns into what seems to be a response to the gangsters who tried to take the rapper’s life.
“Sometimes I look in the mirror, I can’t believe I’m alive/ Disrespectful to ni**as who wanna take me alive,” he raps on the song. “Wishing death on you ni**as, we’ll never see eye to eye/ Somehow I pray for your ni**as at the very same time.”
Nobody has been able to confirm when the track was recorded but right now fans are speculating that it was indeed Ross’s immediate reaction to the drive by. If it wasn’t recorded after the incident, however, it could possible add some validity to 50 Cent’s claim that Rick Ross staged the drive by shooting.
Either way, many people in the hip hop industry are urging the 37-year-old to buff up his security right away.
After dozens are bullets were fired at the “Diced Pineapples” rapper’s car, the suspects were able to flee without being identified. That means the men who want to “take [Ross] alive” are still at large.
The string of YouTube videos, which date back as far as December, claim that the gang will to go whatever lengths to take down the Teflon Don. Several videos warn the “Hustin” rapper that the gang will shut down his concert dates if they don’t get their money soon.
One iconic hip hop journalist revealed how important it is that people realize that in the midst of the entertainment value of some rappers’ lyrics, there may actually be more reality behind it than people think.
“I think this is a sad day for hip-hop because a lot of times we all partake in the entertainment of it without realizing that hip-hop was always built on the foundation of realness and keeping it real,” said the editor-in-chief of The Source, Kim Osorio. “There were a lot of people who had a problem with what Rick Ross was doing. Now we’re in a situation where the entertainment has become a reality. People are actually trying to hurt him and I think that’s sad for us.”
“I think the next step for Ross to take is security,” Brian “B.Dot” Miller of RapRadar.com said. “There is no shame in having security depending on your level of celebrity. Certain artists just can’t do things that regular people can do.”
The call for higher security is a suggestion that Rozay should definitely consider, especially since the YouTube gang aren’t the only ones who have a problem with the “Hold Me Back” rapper.
There is also the original Rick Ross who has been going after the rapper for years now after he claims he stole his moniker and is now profiting off of it.
Rick “Freeway” Ross, a famous gang leader, told CNN that he just wants “justice.”
“The reality is I want justice done,” the original Ross said. “I know that he took his name and image from my life and believe he is unfairly profiting off my story… I have my own use for my intellectual property and did not need this confusion created.”
He certainly has a point, and if the original Ross decides to take the matter to court he may actually walk away as the winner.

Chris Brown Compares Himself to Jesus After Frank Ocean Fight

Chris Brown insists that he and Jesus have a lot in common after the media has started reporting about his parking lot brawl with Frank Ocean on Sunday.
We can think of quite a few people to compare Chris Brown to – including Ike and Sisqo – but the 23-year-old singer/rapper decided to go with Jesus.
Apparently the face punching, terrible tempered player feels like he has a lot in common with God’s son.
After his brawl with Frank Ocean over a parking spot, Brown went to Instagram to express how he was feeling.
“Painting the way I feel today,” the caption read along with a picture of Jesus hanging on the cross before adding. “Focus on what matters!”
Of course focusing on what matters would mean focusing on your music when you arrive to the studio and not a parking space.
As for his comparison to Jesus, he is trying to suggest that he is being unfairly “crucified” by the media, but there is definitely more than enough reasons to give Breezy a hard time. From beating Rihanna senseless in 2009 to his club brawl with rapper Drake, the “Don’t Judge Me” crooner keeps giving the public reasons to judge.
Meanwhile, more details are emerging in the Chris Brown Frank Ocean fight investigation and so far things aren’t looking good for Rihanna’s part-time lover.
Before the investigation kicked off, sources close to Chris reported that Ocean was the one who started the fight, but the evidence is stacking up to support that story.
One witness to the scuffle told police that the bad boy of R&B tried to shake Frank’s hand, but when the “Thinkin Bout You” singer declined and even laughed at the gesture, Chris didn’t take it too well. The witness claimed that’s when the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer punched his opponent in the face.
Honestly, we aren’t surprised that the 25-year-old R&B star would laugh at the youngster’s handshake after the ill tempered crooner made several comments about Frank’s sexuality on Twitter.
While a surveillance camera managed to capture the brawl after it moved into the lobby  of the studio, where reportedly neither Ocean nor Brown threw a punch, no cameras were focused on the parking lot where the fight started.
By the time police made it to the scene, Breezy had already fled along with the rest of his posse who were also involved in the altercation.
Shortly after the fight, Frank took to Twitter to give a short take on what happened.
“got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there,” he tweeted, putting the blame on Karrueche’s business partner and boyfriend-ish friend.
He also took time to remind the Twitterverse that he’ll be at the Grammys as he tweeted, “Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the Grammys.”
With all the facts and tweets stacking up against Mr. Brown he has finally decided to speak up and is reaching out to investigators.
Fleeing the scene means the young hot head didn’t get the chance to tell his side of the story so now his lawyer is hoping to set the record straight (or just lie to get his client out of trouble).
Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has contacted detectives to let them know that the “Sweet Love” crooner is ready to talk.
Needless to say Chris’s story suggests that all the blame should be placed on the bi-sexual R&B star rather than him. Since only one party in question is known for a violent past, however, it isn’t likely that they’ll be quick to take sides with Brown.

Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Call Off Divorce For Love or Money?

Earlier this month Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa called off their divorce once again, but was the decision to stay together in the name of love or money?
The old saying goes “it’s cheaper to keep her,” and in Bryant’s case that’s definitely proving to be true.
The couple was on the brink of divorce and Vanessa had already been awarded all three of their marital homes when suddenly news broke that they had reconciled their differences.
“I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family,” Kobe posted on Facebook. “When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having that someone to share it with. Thank you all for your support and prayers! Much luv, mamba out.”
Vanessa confirmed the cancellation of the divorce on Instagram as she shared an image that read, “We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together.”
While fans were happy to see the couple sticking it out, critics couldn’t help but wonder if more was keeping Kobe and Vanessa together than pure love.
Every time Vanessa and Kobe have come close to calling it quits, they reconcile and Kobe’s wife enjoys lavish, expensive gifts.
When the NBA star cheated on his wife back in 2003 Bryant gifted her a $4 million apology ring and they decided to stay together.
Later in 2011 Vanessa filed for divorce yet again and her husband was quick to patch things up with her.
While they have been spotted out and about lately as a happy couple, it’s obvious that so many attempts at divorce means something isn’t quite right in their marriage. So why not just call it quits and move on?
A divorce might not impact Vanessa too much, but it will definitely be draining Kobe’s pockets, wallets, and bank accounts.
In the midst of believing in true love the NBA star never signed a pre-nuptial agreement which means if he does divorce his wife he will have to pay hefty child support and spousal support payments.
While most cases only require the primary bread winner to pay spousal support for half the length of the marriage, these two have been sticking it out for over 10 years which means Mrs. Bryant can ask for spousal support for as long as she wants.
With the Lakers player making around $53.2 million a year, his child support payments could hit a whopping $365,000 and the spousal support could come in at $1 million a month. In other words, he would have to cash out $1.36 million every month if they split up.
Don’t think that the marriage is completely loveless, however. You have to consider why Vanessa keeps coming back if she would be rolling in money even if they divorce?
Perhaps it’s for the sake of the couple’s two children, or maybe living with Kobe still promises her much more money than the $1.36 monthly support payments.
Either way, you can’t eliminate the idea that maybe there is a little gleam of love keeping them from finalizing the divorce.
In fact, Kobe made it clear that despite a few marital issues, nobody is allowed to take any shots at his woman.
Drake’s verse in “Stay Schemin’” coined yet another popular phrase in the hip hop community: “B***h you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym!”
Many fans use the phrase without even knowing its context and one fan was bold enough to tweet the phrase to Kobe himself.
Bryant shared a photo of he and Vanessa enjoying coffee and tea together when a fan replied to the tweet with the hashtag #SheWasntWithYouShootingInTheGym.
Drake’s verse suggested that Kobe’s wife didn’t deserve Bryant’s millions because she was never in the gym supporting him, but according to the Lakers star his wife was exactly where she needed to be – taking care of their children.
“No, she wasn’t,” he responded via Twitter. “She was busy raising our kids #nonanny #respectmothers.”
Earlier this month Vanessa made it clear that she isn’t fond of the verse as she took to Instagram to say, “I love when immature kids quote a rapper that has never been friends with Kobe and knows nothing about our relationship. Just shows how gullible they are. I don’t need to be in the gym. I’m raising our daughters, signing checks, and taking care of everything else that pertains to our home life.”
She later admitted that Drake had apologized for the line in the song especially since he doesn’t even know Kobe or his personal life. She also went on to say that she just wants people to think before they speak.
“It’s done and over with and now it’s time for people to THINK before speaking,” she added to the Instagram post.
It’ll be interesting to see how the couple’s marriage progresses from here and how long it takes before Vanessa threatens her husband with divorce papers again.

Michelle Williams Builds Suspense for Destiny’s Child Superbowl Reunion?

Michelle Williams is shooting down rumors of  a Destiny’s Child reunion at the Superbowl. Beyonce has been slated to perform for months, but when news broke of a new Destiny’s Child album, rumors began flying that the trio would reunite in the performance.
Even an alleged set list leaked last week, teasing fans with a “Bills, Bills, Bills/Survivor/Nuclear” medley. And no one–not Beyonce, not Kelly, not Michelle–called it out as fake.
Now that the performance is drawing near, Michelle is changing her tune a bit. In a recent interview, Michelle was quick to squash the rumors of a Destiny’s Child Superbowl reunion.  ”It is rumored,” she said recently to WRUG radio, when asked about the performance.
“I’m going to be in the musical Fela!” she continued, to a very scrutinizing face from the journalist. “I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it’s not true.” Williams is currently appearing in the musical, which chronicles the life of Nigerian music legend Fela Kuti.
However, several pieces of evidence are poking wild holes in Michelle’s story. First of all, the Fela! website blatantly states Williams will not be appearing in the performances scheduled for Jan. 31-Feb. 3, aka Superbowl Weekend.
The website Travelzoo.com (which sells Fela! tickets) also posted a disclaimer for those dates that Michelle Williams would “not be in the show Jan 31- Feb 3 due to the group’s Superbowl performance.”
So, it seems Michelle is merely bating fans by denying the reunion. It is sort of odd for Michelle to be the one denying the reunion and drumming up suspense for the performance when she clearly needs the visibility the most.
Kelly Rowland and Beyonce have yet to comment on the matter, although both have been spotted in New Orleans this week.

Cissy Houston Admits Bobby Brown Destroyed Whitney’s Chance at Recovery

Cissy Houston, gospel singer and mother to the late icon Whitney Houston, has some choice words for former son-in-law Bobby Brown her tell-all.
In her new memoir Remembering Whitney, Cissy writes that she had doubts about the pair’s relationship from the beginning. “How would you like it if he had anything to do with your daughter?” she asked in a recent interview.
Cissy also believes Whitney would have stood a better chance of recovery away from Brown.
“I do believe her life would have turned out differently,” Cissy laments in the memoir. “It would have been easier for her to get sober and stay sober. Instead she was with someone who, like her, wanted to party. To me, he never seemed to be a help to her in the way she needed.”
When Houston finally left Brown in 2007, Cissy Houston writes that she was “extremely relieved” and “thanking God so much I’m sure nobody else could get a prayer in to Him.”
Cissy says she felt the need to write the book to show the best of her daughter, so that her memory and legacy isn’t entirely shrouded by drug addiction and the manner of her death.
To coincide with the book’s release, Cissy and her oldest son Michael appeared with Oprah Winfrey last night for an installment of “Oprah’s Next Chapter” on OWN.  The interview, taped at Cissy’s palatial New Jersey penthouse, contained a shocking confession from Whitney’s older brother.
In the interview, Michael makes a shocking admission–that he was the first person to give Whitney cocaine in the late 1980s. Michael attempted to explain the behavior, saying  “You gotta understand at the time, no one knew, it was acceptable.”
Winfrey, ever the spitfire journalist, retorted “acceptable to whom,” getting her second groundbreaking drug confession in less than a month.
Having battled drug addiction himself, Michael says giving his little sister her first line is a source of guilt he will carry the rest of his life. “I feel responsible,” he said solemnly to Winfrey.
Remembering Whitney hits bookstores, kindles, and iPads today, a mere two weeks before the first anniversary of the icon’s death.

Brian McKnight to Release New Album

Brian McKnight is set to release a new album this Spring, entitled More Than Words.
In an interview with Lifestyle Magazine, McKnight had some thoughts on the current R&B market, and the dominance of  hip-hop. “I think that it’s melded itself into a hip hop/singing category. We don’t have a name for it but I think that because there are people singing over these hip hop tracks, people tend to call that R&B, ” he said. McKnight continued, lamenting that “there are those of us out there who are now in our late 30’s/40’s who are still making it, unfortunately, that’s not mainstream enough.”
McKnight does cite one young R&B star who he believes can carry on the tradition of smooth vocals and romantic lyrics. “Now, there’s a Ne-Yo, to me who is continuing that trend. He’s able to sort of mix everything, old with the new. But there’s only one of those guys. Everybody else has taken the “swaggerific” approach to R&B.”
Mcknight looks forward to a more classic approach on More Than Words. He also credits fans for helping inspire him to make a good record.
The singer uses social media to eliminate boundaries between him and his fans. “I am fortunate that there is no wall between myself and my fans,” insist Brian. “We communicate at live shows and especially through Twitter and social media. I ask them what they want and they tell me. Hopefully on this album I have succeeded again in giving them what they want.”
McKnight is the latest R&B star to call for a return to a more traditional sound. Justin Timberlake and Beyonce have also made similar statements and goals for their albums in 2013.
It has been a busy 2013 for McKnight so far, as he performed the National Anthem at the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl, performing a tasteful, understated rendition that seemed to be live.
More Than Words is slated for release March 5.

Justin Bieber Reveals He’s Releasing a Song About Selena Gomez

The 18-year-old is releasing his “Believe Acoustic” album Tuesday, which features a song he wrote about his breakup with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. The track is called “Nothing Like Us” and Bieber opens up to Billboard about his life post-split.

“There's so many rumors,” Bieber says. “People say I call Selena every day and she won't pick up the phone or I'm chasing her down, and these are all fake stories. I don't go on blogs or anything like that. I hear things. People tell me if something happens on the Internet. It gets back to me, definitely.”
As for the song itself, the interviewer describes “Nothing Like Us” as a very real and heartfelt song.
“Because at the end of the day, there's nothing like us, you know?” the “Baby” singer explains. “That's just it. It is what it is. People are going to relate to that.”
“I'm not in the happiest place that I've ever been,” continued Bieber when asked if he was heartbroken. “I'm trying to get through what I'm going through. Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.”
However the singer insists he is having fun “all of the time.”
“I'm 18. I have a great team around me. I have great friends. We have a blast. They keep me occupied and my mind off of the negative things,” Bieber reveals. “It's funny when people are like, "You're 18. What have you really gone through?" I'm thinking, "What do you mean? When you were 18, you don't think that you went through stuff?" When you are 18, you're going through that transition. You have a high school girlfriend, you might not. Going to college. Figuring yourself out, leaving home.”
Who else is going to be checking out Bieber’s new album when it’s released tomorrow? The curiosity factor is on overdrive!
Bieber will serve double-duty hosting and acting as musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” on February 9.

Rick Ross Target of Attempted Drive-By Shooting … but 50 Cent Has His Doubts

For most of us, hitting a nightclub until the wee morning hours would be enough excitement for one night, but rapper Rick Ross got an extra dose when he was the target of an attempted drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

The eccentric musician had spent the night celebrating his 37^th birthday at club LIV in Miami, and later, while driving down swanky Las Olas Boulevard with his fashion designer girlfriend Sateria Moragne-el, shots were fired in the direction of the couple’s 2011 silver Rolls Royce, causing Ross to lose control of the vehicle and crash into an apartment building, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
Neither Ross, who lives in the nearby town of Davie, Florida, nor 28-year-old Moragne-el were injured and the suspects fled the scene prior to the police’s arrival, according to the report.
Prior to the crash, while partying at LIV, Ross was clearly having a good time, and kept his more than 2 million Twitter followers posted with tweets like “Lotta $$$$ in CLUB LIV TONIGHT” and “3 blunts lit a once.”

Speaking of blunts, Ross has had a few brushes with the law around marijuana. In January 2008 he was arrested on marijuana and gun possession charges in Florida and, three years later, was arrested again for marijuana possession in Shreveport, Louisiana, after complaints were made that the smell of the drug was coming from his hotel room and police found marijuana in his room.
But while Ross (real name: William Roberts) has played up gang connections as part of his public persona, during his 2008 deposition his lawyer successfully proved he wasn’t involved with the Carol City Cartel as he had claimed. A transcript from the deposition obtained by The Smoking Gun shows that when Ross’ lawyer asked a Miami Beach police officer why Ross’ case had been assigned to a gang task force he replied, “Because your client claims affiliation with Carol City Cartel and other known gang members” but then admitted he had no proof of any gang affiliations, no members from the Carol City gang had ever claimed he was a member, and he had never been arrested in Miami-Dade County before. Adding to Ross’ “damaged” reputation, photos surfaced that showed he had actually worked as a correctional officer.
At least one fellow hip-hop artist (and admitted Ross hater), 50 Cent, thinks that the crash might have been fake … perhaps part of a scheme by Ross to try seem more gangster?
“Hahaha fat boy hit the building?lol,” he tweeted on Monday, along with a photo of the crashed car. “it looks staged to me. No hole's in da car.”

Chicken Pox Forces Barbara Walters To Remain Hospitalized

Whoopi Goldberg announced that Barbara Walters will remain hospitalized now that she has the chicken pox.
Barbara Walters, the 83-year-old co-host of “The View,” was recovering from a head injury in the hospital when she suddenly caught a fever. It didn’t take long before doctors discovered the famous journalist had the chicken pox.
“We want to give you an update on Barbara,” Goldberg said on “The View” on Monday. “You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was running a temperature, but it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood. Barbara has the chicken pox. She’s never had it as a child.”
While the disease is most common among children it can be very dangerous (but still non-life threatening) when contracted by adults. It can sometimes lead to other complications such as pneumonia.
While “The View” co-host is aware of the seriousness of the matter, she decided to try to make light of things by playfully reminding Walters “no scratching.”
Chicken pox may be the thing that is keeping Barbara Walters hospitalized, but it’s not what caused her to get there in the first place.
She was hospitalized since last week after falling at an inauguration party. Walters was at the British ambassador’s residence in Washington when she took a tumble and cut her head.
While in the hospital she developed a fever and later was diagnosed with chicken pox.
Ever since coming down with the illness she has been transferred from the hospital in Washington to a New York hospital.
No word out yet on when she will be able to return to “The View,” but she did send her warmest regards and “thanks” to those who have expressed their concern for her health while she has been away

Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks Donkey Booty Chaos – Crazy or Awesome?

Is Kenya Moore a crazy, deranged lunatic or savvy reality TV star? While some want to speculate that the former Miss USA is just shrewd in her portrayal of a crazy person, others are beginning to believe the brown beauty needs some off-camera help for her mental state. Ms. Moore proved just how crazy she was willing to appear in last night’s episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’
There’s a feud between Moore and cast mate Phaedra Parks. The women came together to collaborate on Parks’s “donkey booty” work out video. Instead of both women riding the concept to financial freedom, the deal was ultimately called off because Phaedra refused to grant Moore a back-end deal on the video’s royalties. Parks felt that the $100K quote that Moore gave, along with a fee for service would be more than enough to compensate for her time and production. Of course, Moore did not see it that way and all hell broke loose between the women.
After squabbling to everyone about how shady of a person Phaedra is, Kenya decided to show up at a CHARITY event clad in a replica of the see through mesh overlay Phaedra wore during the Anguilla trip. While both women were a bit overexposed (which is an understatement) at least Phaedra was; a) on vacation, and b) on a tropical island. Moore was just tacky, classless and for all intents and purposes building the case for those who say she’s nuts.
Kenya then really let loose, saying how people are just jealous of her (always her go-to response to perceived attacks and drama). She even took it one step further and stated something about stabbing Phaedra in the neck with a knife. Classy…something a real ‘role model’ would do. She topped off her rant by telling Phaedra she shouldn’t do a workout video because her body just “isn’t there.”
If you’re of the persuasion that Ms. Moore’s demeanor is all an act to secure her financial future on the ‘Housewives’ franchise, consider this. The former Miss USA has continually said that she is a “role model” to young girls due to her winning the the crown back in 1992. However, while on the show she has openly flirted with married men; she’s disrespected models at an open casting for The Bailey Agency as was a judge in a casting call; and she’s been most belligerent to other female cast mates. So as a role model, she’s willing to damage her image to the degree that the general public believes that she is crazy…all to bring in ratings?
It’s unsettling to think that Kenya Moore, once seen as a pioneer for race and beauty as the first dark-skinned woman to win Miss USA, has fallen this far from grace and dissolved into such pettiness…and ugliness, really. And all for a few ratings and a check? If she’s doing as well as she claims she is with her film production company, then the need for such foolery makes even less sense.
While some may enjoy Moore’s antics on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ others see some disturbing issues in her behavior. Couple that with the fact that the beauty doesn’t seem aware that her behavior is bizarre at best and in need of psychiatric care at worst, it makes her ‘act’ even more disturbing. If Kenya is truly a role model, as she says, then she needs to realize that her refusal to address her erratic and ridiculous behavior is teaching a newer generation of children that beauty, indeed, is only skin deep.

Rick Ross Shooting: Police Obtain Video Footage, 50 Cent Doubts Shooting on Twitter

Rick Ross Shooting - Rick Ross crashed his Rolls-Royce in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida early Monday morning after allegedly becoming the target of a drive by shooting. Meanwhile, 50 Cent is skeptic of the drive by and is accusing Ross of staging the entire ordeal.
According to TMZ Rick Ross was driving the Rolls-Royce with a female passenger when a car suddenly pulled up beside his vehicle and fired several shots into his car.
The female passenger was Shateria L Moragne-el, 28, who the “Hustlin” rapper is supposedly dating.
It is believed that they were the only two passengers in the vehicle and they both escaped without injury.
Local reports are revealing that “dozens” of shots were fired into the car and they were all intended for Ross.
Although the suspects of the crime fled the scene before police could arrive it has been confirmed that security cameras from a nearby building were taping during the time of the incident and may have caught the shooting on tape. Cops aren’t hopefully that the footage will reveal any faces, but they are hoping it will help them identify the vehicle that was used in the shooting.
No suspects have been named in the shooting and the one of the few witnesses that stepped forward could only confirm Ross’s identity.
Beth Balk, a waitress at the nearby Floridian Restaurant, told The Sun that she was asleep when she heard the bang of a loud crash outside. It was then that she discovered the silver Rolls Royce smashed up against her building.
While she did see both Ross and Moragne-el in the car she could not tell who they were until police showed photos of the victims to her later. After seeing the photo of the famous rapper Balk confirmed that he was the one she saw inside the car after the crash.
“Yes, that’s definitely the guy,” she said after looking at the photo.
Detective DeAnna Garcia believe the incident started around 5 a.m. along Las Olas Boulevard.
“An unknown vehicle shot a couple of rounds,” Garcia said. “The vehicle was not struck.”
While the vehicle wasn’t hit with the bullets, it did cause William L. Roberts (Rick Ross’s government name) to swerve to avoid the bullets and run off the road into the Floridian Restaurant.
While police are gathering surveillance footage of the incident to try to identify suspects, rapper 50 cent who has been beefing with Ross for a while now, thinks he has the entire incident figure out.
According to the Curtis Jackson III, 50 Cent’s real name, the entire drive-by shooting and car crash was staged.
An NBC affiliate gave their version of the story reporting, “Police officials say shots were fired around 5 a.m. in the area of Southeast 15th Avenue and E. Las Olas Boulevard… the Rolls Royce was traveling eastbound on Las Olas when another vehicle opened fire on it, police said…When the Rolls tried to get away, it crashed into the building at 311 Southeast 15th Avenue.”
According to 50 cent, however, the story is much simpler.
“Hahahaha fat boy hit the building? Lol it looks staged to me,” 50 Cent tweeted. “No hole’s in da car.”
Of course, others have decided to weigh on the “New Day” rapper’s comment and if Ricky Rozay did stage the shooting they can’t see why.
“The alleged Rick Ross drive-by is the first high-profile hip hop shooting in a while, following the 2010 death of Hot 97′s ‘DJ Megatron’ and last year’s shooting of rapper M-Bone as he was leaving the studio,” Death and Taxes wrote. “But the days of rap’s top players falling like dominoes seemingly every other day do feel like a bygone era at this point.”
In other words, while back in the day getting shot 9 times (like in 50 Cent’s case) did a lot of good for a rapper’s sales, in this day and age it doesn’t have the same impact. Fans are willing to buy into the gangster rap story of a rapper getting shot, stabbed, or robbing and suddenly being a fan of their music.
In fact, many former gangster rappers have been tweaking their images and although they aren’t squeaky clean they certainly aren’t stabbing each other anymore –despite the fact that they may talk about it.
Either way, there is not evidence to suggest that the shooting was staged but hopefully the facts will be laid out when police get a look at the surveillance tapes.
