Chris Brown wanted to share a special moment with his
fans when he shot the video for "They Don't Know," his
upcoming track which will also feature Aaliyah , so he
decided to go to South Los Angeles to spread the love.Over
the weekend, local Cali rapper Uiie Popcorn posted a
behind-the-scenes clip to YouTube that caught Chris
Brown filming scenes from "They Don't Know" sitting in
front of a school surrounded by a crowd of children. "And
for those of y'all who don't know this is a song with me
and Aaliyah, that nobody ever heard before," Brown tells
the children. The majority of the eight-minute clip is backed
with Uiie's own music, but there are scenes where fans get
a sonic snapshot of Brown's new track. The song, which
features previously unheard Aaliyah vocals, has a distinct
old-school feel to it. "Don't listen to what people say,"
Breezy sings, drawing inspiration from Jon B 's 1997 single
"They Don't Know."In between every line that Chris delivers
Aaliyah sings "how could they know," accentuating his
vocals. The track is slated to appear on Brown's upcoming
album X . "I shot it in the hood, I went to the 60s. I went to
Cedar block," Brown said on Tuesday at a L.A. press
conference for the 2013 BET Awards. "It's both worlds, it's
bringing both words together in the video trying to uplift
the poverty side of the community and just showing them
where I'm from."
