Beyonce world tourAfter her electrifying and widely acclaimed Super Bowl halftime show performance, Beyonce has announced a new world tour. Dubbed “The Mrs. Carter Show,” the tour will kick off April 15 in Belgrade, Serbia. She will then travel to 15 more European countries with 4 dates at London’s famed O2 arena before ending the international leg of the tour. After a quick break, she will begin the North American leg on June 28 in Los Angeles. Promos for the tour  feature the diva in an elaborate European palace, dressed in an extravagant royal gown that looks like it came from Marie Antoinette’s wardrobe.
As she sets out on tour, Beyonce as a lot to celebrate. Her performance helped make Sunday’s Super Bowl the most watched in history, and her halftime show was the second only to Madonna’s (arguably weak) performance last year in terms of all-time ratings. The performance also caused an iTunes spike in record sales for Beyonce and Destiny’s Child. Beyonce’s digital sales shot up 230 percent, and Destiny’s Child sales skyrocketed by more than 600 percent.
Speaking to extra following the performance, Beyonce gushed “I’m feeling so proud, it was a really beautiful day. All the hard work, five months of preparation, and it was really great.” She was also thrilled with the response to the Destiny’s Child reunion, noting, “It really was a magnificent night for me and the girls.” Beyonce also said she looked forward to getting back out on tour.
