Rihanna’s Tour Bus Reportedly Caught With Weed by Border Patrol

'Rihanna 777' DocumentaryA friend with weed is a friend indeed -- except when you're trying to cross international borders.
Rihanna's caravan of tour buses was stopped this morning when trying to cross from Canada to the U.S. via Detroit after officials noticed the scent of dank. Luckily, it was not Rihanna.
E! News reported that Kris Grogan of U.S. Customs and Border Protection told the outlet, "During primary inspection a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer referred the buses for a secondary inspection due to the strong odor of marijuana emanating from one of the buses." The second inspection included drug-sniffing dogs, which eventually narced on one of the tour passengers. The individual allegedly was holding a small amount of marijuana, and a "civil penalty was assessed."
Once the searches were completed, the caravan of ten buses, including the busted individual, were sent on their merry way. Rihanna was said to not even be part of the traveling party, probably a fortunate choice.
The incident comes just a month after photos were leaked of Rihanna and Chris Brown sharing what appears to be a blunt at a Grammys afterparty in February. The singer has made no secret of her love for the green, posting photos of herself on Instagram with what looks like joints, and getting photographed smoking the same multiple times on vacation.
Rihanna's next Diamonds tour date with A$AP Rocky hits Detroit this Thursday.

Bobby Brown Begins Serving 55-Day Jail Sentence

Bobby Brown (Larry Marano/Getty Images)
"My Prerogative" singer Bobby Brown is not doing things his way right now.
The 44-year-old reported to court on Wednesday to begin serving his sentence of 55 days in jail for a DUI charge that he pleaded no contest to back in February following an October arrest. The Los Angeles Times reports that Brown is likely to serve no more than nine days in county jail, because of jail overcrowding and other factors.
The sentence also requires Brown to serve four years of informal probation, complete an 18-month program on alcohol treatment, and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week.
The former Mr. Whitney Houston has been charged with two DUIs in the past: one in 2012, and one in 1996.

Beyonce Ready to Make Baby Blue Ivy A Big Sister

Beyonce talks about Baby Blue Ivy in Shape Magazine Beyonce revealed more than those rock hard abs in the latest issue of Shape magazine. In fact, she admitted that those abs might be turning into another baby bump soon.
The mother of one dished about her love of being a mommy to Blue Ivy and one adorable baby just isn’t enough.
“Absolutely,” Beyonce exclaimed when asked if she had any plans to expand the family. “I’ll probably start after this tour. We’ll see if it happens.”
It turns out that the R&B Queen just can’t get enough of being a mommy.
“I just adore being a mother, hearing her say Mama and call me when she needs something,” Baddie Bey said. “It makes me feel like I have a real purpose here. I enjoy all the things people warned me would be tough to handle.”
One of those things is changing diapers.
“Yes, even that,” she exclaimed when asked if she enjoyed cleaning up Blue Ivy’s dirty diapers.
Beyonce second baby on the way Now if you’re a real fan of Queen Bey, or manage to keep up with all the stories about the R&B songstress, you know that this isn’t the first time she revealed her love of changing diapers.
The beautiful thing about the “Bow Down” singer’s relationship with her daughter is the fact that she not only enjoys doing so much for Blue, but she also enjoys everything Blue has done for her.
“I’m most surprised by how much she’s taught me,” the 31-year-old mommy said. “She’s only a year old and I’ve learned so much about myself from her. Giving birth was one of my biggest fears, and having Blue forced me to face it.”
By conquering her fear, she has also come to realize just how much power she has as a strong independent woman.
“And now I recognize the strength I have,” she continued. “She teaches me to focus on the things that truly matter, like family, and to pay attention to each moment, because they go by so quickly.”
With Blue Ivy being the reason Bey was able to find “real purpose” it’s not surprise that rumors are swirling that she is going out of her way to spoil her adorable tyke during her tour that kicks off next month.
Blue Ivy teaches beyonce about herself, gives her purpose An anonymous source claims that the R&B mogul and her husband Jay-Z have created a portable play room for Blue that is an exact replica of her room at home.
“They’ve got toys, a cot, a table and rugs just like the ones she has at home,” the source said.
In other words, Blue will be traveling the world without leaving the comfort of being home. What a lucky gal.
Let’s see how she feels about sharing all this attention after the tour when her mommy is ready to add another baby to the bunch.

Jada Pinkett Smith Say White Women Should Cover Black Magazines

white models and black magazine coversShould white women grace the covers of magazines with intended black audiences? That’s the question Jada Pinkett Smith tackled on her Facebook page when she addressed the lack of black women on the covers of the best selling women’s magazines in the U.S. Pinkett-Smith challenges traditional black publications, such as Essence and Ebony, to feature white women on their pages if they want to lead the way for magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair and Vogue to do the same with women of color.
Interesting.
Here at Popular Critic, we highlighted how actress Kerry Washington is having her Hollywood moment but she is not being featured on the major women’s magazines like other breakout stars such as Jennifer Lawrence. Perhaps if ‘Essence’ featured the ‘Hunger Games’ star on their magazine, the folks over at ‘Elle’ will take notice and reach out to more women of color to do the same. At least that’s what Mrs. Smith is suggesting. Here is her full-length message to her fan base via Facebook.
“Will there ever be a day in which women will be able to see each other beyond race, class, and culture?
There is a question I want to ask today. I’m asking this question in the spirit of thinking outside of the box in order to open doors to new possibilities. These possibilities may be realistic or unrealistic. I also want to make it clear that there is no finger pointing here. I pose this question with the hope that it opens a discussion about how we can build a community for women based upon us all taking a deeper interest in one another. An interest where skin color, culture, and social class does not create barriers in sharing Jada Pinkett Smith cover girlthe commonality of being… women. With love and respect to all parties involved, my question is this…if we ask our white sisters, who tend to be the guardians of the covers of mainstream magazines, to consider women of color to grace these covers, should we not offer the same consideration to white women to grace our covers? Should women extend their power to other women simply because they are women? To my women of color, I am clear we must have something of our own, but is it possible to share in the spirit in which we ask our white sisters to share with us? I don’t know the answer and would love to hear your thoughts.”
It’s a novel idea. Sometimes in order to get what you want, you have to give it. That notion makes sense in many aspects of life. However, if the staff at ‘Essence’ and ‘Ebony’ began featuring white models, would that automatically prompt editors at other women’s magazines to feature unconventional models on their covers? Or, would there simply be more white models on magazines and less women of color?
Magazines catering to black audiences were created as a response to the systematic exclusion of women of color in the modeling and magazine industry. Pinkett-Smith is suggesting that times have changed. Do your own research though. The next time you’re in the grocery store or book store, scan the magazine aisle and count how many women of color you see gracing the covers of magazines like ‘Elle’, ‘Vogue’ and ‘Marie Claire.’ Then think about what Jada is proposing. Are you for black magazines leading the way to racial equality through featuring white cover models or do you think it should happen the other way around?

Comedian Kym Whitley Launches ‘Don’t Feed Me’ T-shirts

Don't Feed me T-shirts for kids with allergies Kym Whitley found an innovative way to ease the worries of parents with children who have severe food allergies by creating a new t-shirt line.
You’re probably wondering what in the world a new t-shirt has to do with protecting a child with food allergies, but Whitley has transformed the t-shirts into giant allergy warning notes.
In today’s day and age many parents have to drop their children off at a daycare or leave them with a nanny when it’s time to go to work. The problem with this is that it can be a challenge for nannies, sitters, and even family members to remember everything your child is allergic to.
The solution? Put it on their shirt where nobody can miss it.
The shirts include a space for parents to write in their child’s name along with a short list of the most common food allergies underneath the words “Don’t Feed Me.”
Parents can then check off which foods their child can not eat and even write in a few more foods in the blank spaces at the bottom of the t-shirt.
Whitley is selling the shirts for $10 on her website DontFeedMe.org with the help of her co-creator and friend Rodney Van Johnson.
Inspiration for the shirts came from a frightening mistake that her nanny made one day. Whitley’s son Joshua is allergic to peanut butter, but the nanny accidentally fed it to him anyway.
Kym Whitley's don't feed me t-shirts for kids with allergies Luckily, the famous comedian was home and was able to rush to the rescue when she heard her child coughing.
The accident was an innocent one, but it reminded the worried mom that it’s a mistake that can easily happen when she isn’t around to do anything about it. So she created the t-shirts for her son and made sure he wore them to day care.
That’s when she discovered that there were more parents who had an interest in the “Don’t Feed Me T-Shirts.”
“The other parents were like, ‘Oh my God that’s great, we need that,” Whitley said.
And thus the line of t-shirts were born.
It’s not wonder that so many parents were interested in the new shirts considering the fact that over 3 million American children have sever food allergies according to the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The most common allergies for children, which are already listed on the shirts next to blank boxes for parents to check, include gluten, milk, peanuts, dairy, eggs, corn, and more.
Whitley hopes that the line of shirts will help prevent many of the accidents that happen every year where children are accidentally fed foods they are allergic too.

Steubenville Rape Victim Receives Online Threats from Teen Girls

by Taylor Gordon popularcritic.com
Teenage rape victim receives online threats The Steubenville rape case may have finally reached a verdict, but the ordeal is far from over for the Ohio town and the 16-year-old victim.
The Ohio Attorney General, Mike DeWine, announced this morning that two teenage girls had been charged with menacing today after they threatened the rape victim via Facebook and Twitter.
It is shocking to believer that anyone, especially other young women, would threaten the victim and DeWine released a statement today that will likely deter any other teens from doing the same thing.
“Let me be clear,” he said in a news release on his website. “Threatening a teenage rape victim will not be tolerated. If anyone makes a threat verbally or via the Internet, we will take it seriously, we will find you, and we will arrest you.”
The threats came shortly after the verdict was announced and both Mays and Richmond – the teenage boys accused of raping the teenage girl – were found to be delinquent and ordered to spend at least a year in juvenile jail.
Steubenville rape case far from over, parents want victim to get her life back One threat came through Facebook where a 15-year-old girl threatened bodily harm to the rape victim. The other threat was via Twitter by a 16-year-old girl.
Both of the teenage girls were immediately taken to the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Jefferson County Sherriff Fred Abdalla explained just why it was so important that the community see authorities take the threats seriously.
“It I just laid back and be lackadaisical and say, ‘Oh well, no big deal,’ and something happens, whose fault is it,” he asked. “I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.”
While it is believe that both of the teenage girls know the victim before the rape case, CNN, MSNBC, a CBS affiliate, and Fox News may have opened the door for even more threats to be aimed at the young girl.
The major news networks actually aired Mays’ apology to the families involved which included him saying the victim’s name.
Major news outlets reveal Jane Does name in steubenville rape case “I would truly like to apologize to [redacted], her family, my family and the community,” the teenage boy said in court. “No picture should have been sent around, let alone even taken.”
The National Alliance to End Sexual Violence strongly encourages the media not to release the names of rape victims because they have the right to anonymity. They are also expected not to release any information that would make rape victims who are minors identifiable.
The major slip up by the media has just pushed the victims’ family even farther away from the one thing they truly desire at this time.
“The family just wants everything over,” the family’s attorney Robert Fitzsimmons told ABCNews.com.
To make matters worse, investigators are looking into prosecuting even more teenagers in the case which means this emotional ordeal may be far from over for the teenage victim.
“They were hoping that the charges had been completed and that justice was served yesterday and they hope that they can move on with their lives.”
Perhaps one of the most heart-breaking quotes from the parents after the verdict was announced was when they explained that all they wanted was “their little girl to have her life back.”

Keyshia Cole is the True Hypocrite After Slamming Beyonce

 Posted by Julia Cox

Keyshia Cole slams BeyonceAfter Beyonce released her gritty new single, “Bow Down/I Been On,” Sunday night, Keyshia Cole was among the first celebrities to respond, blasting Beyonce on Twitter after the song was posted.
Cole’s first attack called out Beyonce for being a hypocrite: “Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk shit when convenient 2 FOH”
The second seemed to indicate Cole’s belief that she has been keeping it more real than Beyonce all these years:  “I done kept it real from the start #RespectTHAT”
Cole’s final (for now) tweet of Beyonce hate again accused the diva of hypocrisy: “First “Women need to Stick together” now bitches better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the shit.”
Cole’s Twitter was indeed a maelstrom of hate yesterday, but her comments lose all clout when considering how Beyonce has long acknowledged these contradictions, and even spun them into artful juxtaposition.
The hypocrisy Cole seems to be finding in Beyonce is that between  the doe-eyed mother of Blue Ivy who writes handwritten letters celebrating black women who performed at the Super Bowl vs. the overconfident woman who asks the same women to “bown down bitches” in the new single.
Really, this pattern is nothing new, as Beyonce has been playing around with dual identities since the invention of her alter ego “Sasha Fierce” for 2008′s album I Am…Sasha Fierce, a record based around the concept of multiple personas.  Beyonce admitted in interviews at the time that she developed Sasha Fierce to give her confidence on stage and ability to adopt the sassy personality of her music.
Beyonce has always owned her contradictions by making them a creative statement, something Cole cannot claim. Before blasting Beyonce, Cole might consider how she herself is hypocritical.
Cole’s last major “project” was arguably not music, but a reality show.  In late 2012, Keyshia & Daniel: Family First, premiered on BET, profiling Cole’s domestic life with husband Daniel Gibson and their young son. Gibson is an NBA player. So powerful husband, young child and family values.  Sounds a little Beyonce/Jay-Z.
So, Cole herself had to step out of those “family first” values to blast Beyonce with a profanity-laced string of hate.  Her comments about Beyonce being “self-righteous” certainly apply to her own life.
Interestingly, Beyonce is the not the first member of Destiny’s Child that Cole has blasted recently.Beyonce new single
After the Destiny’s Child Superbowl performance,  Cole had some negative words about the Destiny’s Child performance, singling out group member Michelle Williams. On her Twitter account Cole said, “I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michell(e) sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always fuckN the groove up/But hey! I love y’all too! And y’all girl is WACK and always will be!”
Cole’s DC-hate makes one wonder if she auditioned for the group back in the 1990s and didn’t make the cut.  Or maybe she couldn’t quite rock one of Mama Tina’s bedazzled ensembles.
Regardless, Cole is currently in no position to even be attacking Michelle Williams, much less Beyonce.   Perhaps Cole is just jealous no one will “bow down” to her, or even give her music a fraction of the attention “Bow Down/I Been On” has been getting.
Suddenly, Beyonce doesn’t  seem like the biggest hypocrite anymore.

Rihanna 777 Tour Gets Fox Documentary

  by Julia Cox popularcritic.com

Rihanna 777Rihanna’s infamous 777 promotional tour from last year will be given a closer look in a new Fox documentary.
Last year, Rihanna famously crammed 256 fans and journalists aboard a Boeing 777  and let them follow her around the globe as she performed 7 shows in 7 days. The tour stops included Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York.
The trip was a disaster, according to many journalists on board. Rolling Stone contributor Jeff Rosenthal gave a rundown of the trip, which frequently was plagued by delays, no wifi,  drunk fans and limited access to Rihanna. One of Rosenthal’s most vivid anecdotes involved the entire jet waiting on the tarmac in Paris while Rihanna shopped for lingerie. Another time, a delirious Australian journalist stripped naked and streaked down the aisle of the jet.
Unbeknownst to the public (and likely the journalists), Rihanna apparently had a film crew covering the entire thing. Her production company, Fenty Films, will be producing the documentary along with Fox.  The project will be called Rihanna 777.
The 777 tour was also around the time of Rihanna’s reconciliation with Chris Brown, yet the pair hadn’t gone public yet about Rihanna 777their reunion, despite numerous clues from their respective social media pages.
In a January Rolling Stone interview, Rihanna finally confirmed the pair had gotten back together. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about s—. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that,” she said.
Rihanna continued that she was tired of keeping their relationship a secret for fear of public backlash. “I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
Rihanna 777 is currently slated to air May 6 on Fox.

Lil Wayne Is Doing Just Fine, Released From Hospital Last Night

by Taylor Gordon

Famous friends say Lil Wayne is okay Lil Wayne’s health is not as critical as rumors suggested as more of his famous pals and reps came out to say that the rap star is doing okay.
While Lil Wayne may still be recovering in a Los Angeles hospital, his star studded list of hospital guests are still coming out the door claiming Weezy is okay and not close to death like reports from TMZ suggested.
The “No Worries” rapper’s latest seizure sent him to the hospital where he has been recovering for a few days now and sparked rumors that he had actually gone into a coma and was on life support.
Nicki Minaj revealed that she really wasn’t worried about her mentor’s health because he always had a team of people around him that were ready to care for him should things go wrong. Despite not being worried about the seizures, she still made sure she went to show him love while he was recovering and was one of the first of his famous pals to do so.
Birdman also stopped by and after visiting his “son” he also revealed that Tunechi was going to be okay.
Lil Wayne drug addiction causing seizures “My son is feeling good. Will be home real soon,” he tweeted on Friday.
The scary thing to consider, however, is how far is Wayne from not “feeling good?” How much more seizures can he take before the reports TMZ made become a reality and he is barely hanging on for dear life?
A close friend of the star’s claimed that it was his drug addiction that sent him to the hospital in the first place and if he doesn’t get it together soon, the seizures could get much worse.
“He drank too much sizzurp to get a better high,” a friend of his explained. “He needs rehab but he’s not close to death or anything. He’s fine and just coming down off the high.”
Lil Wayne not in critical condition according to famous friends It seems like rehab is the answer to Weezy’s medical issues, but until that happens his good friend Usher sent him the next best thing – tons of positive energy.
The R&B crooner used his time on stage at the Afghan Whig show to gather up some positive vibes and much love for Wayne from his fans.
“One of my fellow artists, good friend, Lil Wayne is going through a real hard time right now, y’all,” he said to the crowd. “And I just want to send a lot of positive attitude about his state. And a lot of positive energy out there right now. Can you guys make some noise for Lil Wayne one time? You know it’s ultimately about positive energy. You believe in that? So one time make some noise.”
Another source close to the “Love Me” rapper said that doctor’s have been concerned about Weezy’s health for quite some time now.
Hopefully for Lil Wayne, his family, friends, and fans this last close call will be enough to get him to put down the sizzurp – although we’re aware that that’s asking a lot considering the addictive nature of the drug and just how much Weezy raps about it.
UPDATE: According to Weezy’s pal and label mate Mack Maine, the tattooed rapper has been released from the hospital. Putting a complete end to all the rumors that he was in a coma.
“Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially released and is headed home… God is great,” Mack Maine tweeted last night.

LaToya Jackson Sued For Accusing Omarosa of Killing Her Fiance ?

by Taylor Gordon

LaToya Jackson sued over defamatory comments about OmarosaLaToya Jackson has stepped WAY out of line on Sunday night’s episode of All Star Celebrity Apprentice, and she might have to pay for it – literally.
Omarosa Manigault is considering firing back at Latoya with a lawsuit after she accused Michael Clarke Duncan’s fiancé of giving him a heart attack and pulling his life support cord.
It all started when the ladies failed to work together well during the group challenge on the show which ultimately resulted in LaToya getting fired.
During the challenge Jackson sat down with a one-on-one with the cameras and said “Omarosa’s fiancé passed away not long ago. He had a heart Omarosa considers suing LaToya Jackson after comments on Celebrity Apprentice attack – I’m sure she gave it to him.”
Anyone could have told LaToya that making fun of a loved one’s passing is the last thing you need to do on camera (or in life at all).
We’re sure the cameramen were shocked to hear the statement and they probably made some involuntary gestures with their faces but if they did LaToya certainly didn’t catch it.
After she was fired she had the nerve to take things even farther.
“She’s a conniving, scheming, cut-throat, probably pulled the cord on Michael Duncan Clarke… and I thought Mr. Trump was falling for that fake cry,” she said. “Such a lie!”
Let’s be honest here. She has to be extremely bold to be throwing out so many low blows considering how much dirty laundry her own family has tucked away in the closet and she should certainly understand what it’s like to suddenly lose a loved one.
LaToya Jackson says Omarosa caused Michael Clarke Duncan's death Honestly, we have to give Omarosa some serious props for considering taking this to court instead of firing back with her own low blows – because that wouldn’t be hard to do.
In fact, Omarosa has personally kept tight lipped on the matter and is letting her attorney do all the talking.
“LaToya Jackson’s statement on the March 17, 2013 episode of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, that the Reverend Omarosa Manigault caused her fiancé Michael Clarke Duncan to die, is false, vicious, and defamatory,” her attorney told RadarOnline.com on Monday. “Rev. Manigault has been heralded as a life saver for her actions on the evening that her fiancé suffered a life-ending heart attack. It is because of her bravery that Mr. Duncan – the love of Rev. Manigault’s life – was able to live for months beyond that tragic night.”
He went on to say that Jackson proved she was simply a “sore loser” and demonstrated the “lowest level of class” by slinging out those dirty shots at Mrs. Manigault.
While Omarosa considers taking LaToya to court, the low blow throwing celeb is busy trying to do some major damage control.
She sat down to explain that her fist major mistake that night was not brining Manigault back into the boardroom to face Mr. Trump because she figured the producers would want to keep her around for all the drama she had been causing.
“I certainly do, I regret it very so much,” she started. “I think if I had to do it again, of course I would definitely bring her back to the boardroom.”
She also admitted that she didn’t feel like there was much she could do and then accused Mr. Trump of falling for her lies.
“I truly believe that [Donald Trump] fell for the crocodile tears,” she added. “I also believe that he wouldn’t have gotten rid of her… I kept thinking, ‘You know, if I were a producer, I’d keep her in the show to keep the mess going.’”
We would personally like to point out that her regrets were based on what she didn’t do on the show, not for saying the hurtful things that are resulting in the lawsuit in the first place.
Oh LaToya… Do you know not the wrath of the great Omarosa?
They say you should pick your battles wisely and in less than two days Jackson picked hers with Omarosa and Donald Trump.
Need we say more?

Keyshia Cole Slams Beyoncé, New Anthem on Twitter

Beyonce (Ray Amati/Getty Images)Keyshia Cole (Mark Davis/Getty Images)
Not everyone is curtsying over Beyoncé's new single, "Bow Down / I've Been On."
R&B singer Keyshia Cole took to Twitter to vent frustrations about the just-released track, an aggressive meditation on why Bey is queen.
"Can't stand when people all self righteous when it's convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh*t when convenient 2," she wrote.
While Beyoncé's last record "4" featured female empowerment hits like "Run The World," the new track is bold in the hierarchy it establishes: Beyoncé and everyone else.
"I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world. Don't forget it. Respect that," she sings. "Bow down, b*tches."
Cole dug further at the conflicting ideals.
"First 'Women need to Stick together' now bitches better Bow. [Shaking my head]," Cole said.
But all the pontificating in 140 characters came around to Cole, whose last album was titled "Woman to Woman," thanks to backlash from Beyonce's loyal fans.
Known online as the Beyhive, fans attacked Cole for taking Beyoncé to task. Many referenced Keyshia jabbing Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams in February, specifically her contribution to the Super Bowl halftime show.
"Michell sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always [messing] the groove up," Cole said of Williams, who briefly joined Beyonce and Kelly Rowland for a medley of their hits at the big game.

Katy Perry, John Mayer Split for Second Time

Katy Perry, John Mayer Split for Second Time

Katy Perry, John Mayer Split for Second Time
Katy Perry and John Mayer have once again said goodbye -- for now. The pop songstress, 28, and singer-songwriter, 35, have split for the second time, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly. The high-profile pair began casually dating during summer 2012, and briefly called it quits back in August before reconciling the next month.
"It's sad," one pal tells Us, but cautions that it might not be a permanent break. "It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out." Adds another source: "She's leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work."
PHOTOS: Katy's sexiest, craziest looks
Indeed, Perry has been busy recording her third studio album in Los Angeles, while Mayer -- on the mend following serious vocal problems and throat surgery last year -- is prepping for upcoming tour dates and a live Google Hangout chat this Thursday, March 21.
PHOTOS: John Mayer's romantic history
Following their September 2012 reconciliation, the twosome seemed to ramp up their relationship: The "Waiting on the World to Change" troubadour visited Perry's Santa Barbara hometown in November, they attended high-profile events together as a couple, and Mayer, famous for his string of A-list exes, gushed about Perry in a January 60 Minutes interview. "I'm very happy in all aspects of my life," said Mayer, who had messy splits with the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt, to name a few.
PHOTOS: Katy and Russell Brand's romance
Perry, who finalized her divorce from Russell Brand in February 2012, was tweeting happily about her man as recently as March 2. "My boyfriend is taking me to a kitten shelter in his truck," she wrote to her nearly 34 million followers. "I can't think of a more perfect Saturday." But on Monday, March 18, she suggested she's been dealing with turmoil. "ATTENTION: Mercury is OUT of retrograde today. Thank GOD," Perry wrote.

Emma Roberts Can Fly!

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters (Tyler Shields)
Just when you thought celebrities couldn't be more magical, Emma Roberts goes flying through the air.
The "We're the Millers" star went completely airborne for a new photo shoot by edgy photographer Tyler Shields.
In one pic, the 22-year-old niece of Julia Roberts is being tossed into the ether toward her boyfriend, "American Horror Story" star Evan Peters.
"I said, 'All right, we are going to throw Emma to you [Evan], and you're going to catch her,'" Shields explains to omg!. "You know, they are in a relationship, so I'm sitting there with the camera and I'm thinking to myself, 'OK, if he doesn't catch her there is hell to pay for that! He will never live that down their entire relationship.'"
"I have never seen people so dedicated," he continues.
In another beautiful photo, Roberts appears to be doing a midair, "Matrix"-like dance with Shields's girlfriend, Francesca Eastwood.
Roberts and Francesca Eastwood (Tyler Shields)
"That was the first take, and then we did it again and [Emma and Francesca] collided and smashed into each other in the air," says Shields, but there was no harm done. "They were unscathed. They are tough. So tough. It was really impressive."
From then on out, Shields decided they would only do only one take per shot.
The collection of images Shields calls "Suspense" will be on display at the Guy Hepner Gallery in Los Angeles starting April 28. The artist has been working on the series for about a year, but admits that getting Roberts and Eastwood in on the action was actually their idea, despite knowing it could be dangerous.
"They were like, 'No, no, we are doing this,'" Shields recalls. "I said, 'You guys, it takes a lot of physical ability to do this.' For the first time ever, I was discouraging someone from doing something!"
It clearly all paid off.
"These are Emma and Francesca's favorite photos they have ever been in or seen," Shields says about the women's final reaction. "Emma had a great line -- she told me this series would be a game-changer for [her] career, and it would put [her] on a whole new level."
The girl can pun while flying!
"Francesca has seen me build the whole series and she thinks its my best work yet," continues the famed photographer.
This isn't the first time Roberts has posed for Shields. Last summer, he shot her chomping on $100,000 cash.
Roberts is currently shooting "Delirium," a Fox pilot based on Lauren Oliver's popular dystopian book series. She'll next be seen on the big screen opposite Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in "Empire State."

Rihanna Resumes Tour After Illness

Rihanna resumes tourLast night, Rihanna resumed her “Diamonds” world tour after a bout with laryngitis.  The singer excitedly tweeted before her show in Philadelphia: “One of my favorite cities in America #PHILLYnation #DiamondsWorldTour WE BACK!!!!”
Earlier this week, Rihanna was forced to cancel shows in Boston and Baltimore after coming down with a fever and sore throat. A source reported to Hollywood Life “She feels awful she had to cancel two f****** shows but it wasn’t nothing she could do about that.”  The source added, “In the future, She hopes her fans give her another chance and you know she’s going to give the crowd in Boston and Baltimore a little extra!”
The “Diamonds” tour source further claims Rihanna took her break seriously and had been “taking it easy over the past few days, getting much needed rest so she can continue her tour.”  This statement does call into question what exactly qualifies as “rest” in Rihanna world.  Does that mean no weed or Chris Brown? Limited Instagram?
Regardless, she did take the stage and perform to an enthusiastic Philly crowd last night at the Wells Fargo Center. To mark her return to the tour, she was showered in  elaborate Givenchy gifts by a mystery man named Riccardo. “Special delivery!!! Thank you Riccardo! #tourlife#goodlife #heelsgivenchyhuh”  the singer tweeted last night.
Rihanna is also back to her typical level of Instagram posts.  In recent weeks, theRihanna Chris Brown singer has been receiving a deluge of threats and nasty comments, in particular about her relationship with Chris Brown.
“Rihanna is scared. Her management has taken these threats very seriously and has ramped up her security team. The level of vitriol aimed at her since her reunion with Chris Brown is unbelievable,” a source told Heat magazine.
Last night, RiRi put the haters in their place, defending some nasty comments about her fans. “Yall type so tuff,”  she began. “Lemme guess y’all broke, dickless, and got private profiles??!! Bring your pretty lil asses down to the clearport if u done typin.”
I guess she’s done “resting” now.

Michael Jackson’s Children and Mother Seek Billions from AEG

Michael Jackson family seeks billions from promoter Michael Jackson’s three children and his mother Katherine are seeking a whopping $40 billion from AEG Live for the pop icon’s death which they claim was the promoters fault since they hired Dr. Conrad Murray in the first place.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ Michael Jackson’s family is accusing AEG Live of being negligent in the hiring and supervision of Dr. Murray and now they want to be compensated for all the money that their father might have earned had he still been alive.
Prince, Paris, Blanket and their grandmother are seeking $10 billion for their father’s potential profits and another $50 million for other damages.
Needless to say, AEG isn’t buying it and they feel like the family is just trying to squeeze their pockets dry.
While Michael Jackson was certainly the King of Pop and the most iconic performer to ever hit the stage, the controversy surrounding the later years of his career did slow his revenue quite a bit.
“AEG Live claims the $40 billion is preposterous because Michael’s career was in a Michael Jackson's son Prince to take stand in wrongful death trial downward spiral following the child molestation allegations,” TMZ reported.
AEG is claiming that the amount Jackson’s family is seeking is based off of unrealistic expectations of Michael’s career, but the pop icon’s teenage son has something to say about that.
Prince, 16, is ready to take the stand in the wrongful death lawsuit and claims that the conversations he had with his father about AEG will be enough to prove that they were responsible for his father’s death.
“Prince very much wants to take the stand and plans to tell jurors about specific conversations he had with his father about AEG,” one source told RadarOnline.com. “Prince will also testify about the fateful day his father died, as he was an eyewitness to the efforts that were made to save his life.”
Prince isn’t much older than his 15-year-old sister Paris, but both of his younger siblings will be protected from the scrutiny of the courts and aren’t expected to take the stand.
The trial isn’t set to begin until April 2.

The Material Girl, who memorably kissed Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera during a performance at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, also left people buzzing about her outfit. During his acceptance speech, Cooper thanked his boyfriend since 2009, Benjamin Maisani.
"[Being gay] has allowed me to love and be loved, to open my head and open my heart in ways I would have never predicted," he noted. "The ability to love one another, the ability to love another person is in my opinion one of God's greatest gifts and I thank God every day for the ability to give and share love with the people in my life. My family, my friends, my partner Benjamin, thank you very much."
